I know these are considered “lifetime” fluids. I know some people do service their RDU when they rack up miles and dependent on severity of usage. I was browsing various discussions on the forum, and I didn’t see this. If you are looking on a site for the fluid, there’s two listed for the RDU. Mine is still under warranty, so if it grenades itself so be it!
The first PN is: 68227766AB
If you search this up it is listed as synthetic hydraulic control fluid. The description they provide for this fluid is: “Sae 70w-80. Servo. Lhm+.” Fitment only shows the Cherokee and 200 AWD. I’m assuming the VeraTrac in the 200 is very similar to EcoTrac in some
The next is just listed as regular gear oil. That PN is: 68227765AB
The PN above even shows fitment for the AWD Pacifica, which makes sense as AAM supplied EcoTrac for it as well.
My questions are: Why are two fluids listed? What is best? Maybe it requires both? I have no clue. I can’t find much information.
