Did anyone have a quality control sticker on their drivers door window. I have one that states the car was use for quality inspection and was used up to 65 miles for testing. Mine had miles on it the dealer told me thay picked it up at another lot. Got a discount for the miles. Just wonder if i can remove the sticker.

If I remember correctly that is most likely because the vehicle was in the first batch of Cherokees made that needed the transmission reconfiguration. They had to drive them for a few miles to make sure things were in working order before shipping them out. I don't see any reason you can't take the sticker off.

My status just updated on the Jeep Garage site said mine was headed for MI and a quality control lot. I hope they aren't running miles on it while others are not! I did notice that not all the Cherokees were headed for this lot. This post has me concerned that mine will be delayed so they can use it as a guinea pig. This would piss me off!

That's strange. You'd think they would pull a vehicle other than a custom order to run miles on for QC. On the up side you may be able to work a better deal in because of it.

I see where you're coming from on that. My train of thought was since even the custom orders get built in the same batches as the standard dealer orders so therefor they are the same "product". I would also think that most people that do a custom order wouldn't want it driven except by them. In regards to the semiconductors, would there be much of a way for someone to notice if a semiconductor was tested first? My knowledge of semiconductors and QC testing on them is as close to '0' as you can get haha.

Mine had only 6 miles in the odometer when I picked it up. Currently at 1,357 miles with no issues.

MOTS says about VASC - Taylor Auto Auction YD - Quality Control/storage facility. Could it just be going to be staged for shipping or stored until after the holiday?

I think I would rather have one that has been through an indepth QC. Less likely hood of wires not connected, loose transmission hoses, etc... That have been reported by members of this foum.
Mine clearly missed that QC inspection... (transmission hose issue)
Mine had 19 miles on it when it got to me.
Just off the truck but had to be driven from that lot to the dealer I bought from.

I wonder if those vehicles are driven within the break in recommendations or if they're driven hard and fast trying to find any defects. I think if I special ordered a new Jeep I'd be really upset if it had a bunch of miles on it.

My Dodge Dart had the same sticker, they put that sticker on cars they randomly select for additional testing and to go through the "metrology center". So you should be glad that it went through that so you know they tested everything.

Mine had around 40 miles on it when I got it. The salesman said it had been test driven a couple of times before I got to it.

I'm at 1,110 miles now, and no problems so far, except the mild vibration in the steering wheel when sitting stopped with the transmission in "drive", which several people have also indicated with their Cherokees as well, so may not be an actual problem, but rather just a "feature"!
