Pulled Fuse while Car was running

I pulled the Run2 fuse while the car was running and now it won't start. 2017 Jeep Cherokee Latitude

The "Run2" fuse is really relay K13 in the PDC.
Looked at the schematics in the Haynes Repair Manual and I can't find the relay.
Unfortunately the relay designations, (K13) are not provided.
Even if I could find it in the schematic I doubt I could figure out what it does.

Possibly it is part of the theft deterrent system if there is one and the Jeep thinks it was being stolen and shut down the engine.
Since I don't have a clue how it works I will defer to someone who does.
If there is an aftermarket alarm system installed it could be anything.

Since the Jeep was wrecked pretty badly and probably not repaired correctly, it may never get fixed.

What was your intention when you removed K13?
Maybe that would give me a clue.

The Run 2 *relay* is only used for the fused ignition circuit for the following: front headlights, headlamp leveling module, occupant restraint controller module, and the seat belt reminder indicator.

Pulling that relay with the engine running would probably annoy a few computers, no wonder the Jeep won't start anymore.
Sort of like committing harakiri?

I’m not exactly sure why it would shut off when that relay is pulled. The run 2 relay is triggered off of the run 1 relay when the BCM is energized as soon as the key hits the run position. Taking out the occupant restraint control module while the engine is running means you’re taking a module off of the CAN C network, along with every single airbag, squib, and pressure sensor. It would definitely cause a slew of communication “U” faults in several other modules. He doesn’t say if he actually put it back in (or why on earth he removed it?), but I can see probably needing a proxy alignment after it’s back up and running.

Why would you pull the fuse when the car is running? That sounds risky, as that would not be the same as it tripping. I mean I'd not randomly start messing with electrical components with my laptop while it was running, and all modern cars are just lots of computers.

Have you tried putting it back in?

I saw your other post I worry you might have killed part of a computer already damaged by the wreck. Also are you sure that is the circuit that you pulled? Do you have an actual mopar shop manual? Ideally the one that the techs would be useing?

What was your goal pulling the fuse?

I wounder if the wreck caused issues with stuff in the Run 2 "circuit" but I wounder if pulling the fuse while running caused further damage to computers that have gone through a tough shock?

Ok, I’m *guessing* he was trying to pull the radiator fan relay, as it’s probably stuck closed. Except...the radiator fan relay is actually part of the PCB board, so, he’s looking at a new PDC for that issue.

because the OP never explained why they pulled the fuse in a running car, and what the goal was. So we are kinda left to guess.
