Jeep Spain just released their pricing information for Cherokee and it is not pretty.

Base Longitude (our Latitude) starts at 36,250 euros or $50K USD. AWD bumps that to almost $57K.

Trailhawk will sell for 54,000 euros about $75K.

The Pentastar 6 will only be available in the TH, and the tigershark 4 has been replaced with a 2.0 multijet diesel from FIAT.

To give a little bit of perspective on the pricing, Land Rover Spain starts the Evoque off at 36,743 euros. Ford sells the Kuga there for 20,190 euros.

Wow, I wonder how much of that is import taxes? With the Euro stronger than the Dollar you would expect it to be cheaper not more expensive.

Don't forget Europe has import taxes and VAT (Value added tax). The VAT is typically 20% or higher. I would guess that import duties/taxes add another 10% to the base price. Together that's 30% higher than advertised prices in the US!

Dont forget along with higher prices, and standard of living is higher, the spec is higher, and your wages are higher! Alas, it works out in the end! I'm a aussie living in Canada, and the parallel between the 2 countries is amazing
