Hey everyone!

I haven't seen a thread like this yet, but apologies if one already exists.

What is the status of your 2020 cherokee order?!?!!!

I ordered a trailhawk on 7/11 and am currently in D1 status with an est. ship date of 8/10. I've been following a wrangler build status thread and it seems like some of the new '20 models are already arriving at dealers with many more scheduled to be delivered within the coming week. I know the new MY wranglers started production in late July...anyone know if cherokees started around the same time, or are they starting now in August?? The waiting game sucks, but will be totally worth it!

Awesome!

From what I can see, the first build for the 2020 KL is this month, so keep us posted!

Possibly too late for you, but there are sites around where you can track yours through the build phase. I remember doing that when I ordered my 2019, and I followed it through build in March 2018.

Thanks

JB status as of today! (shipped to body vendor)

Hopefully this step doesn't take too long...I've seen other threads where people are stuck here for quite a bit of time :|

I've been tracking my progress through the FCA live chat here... https://fcacommunity.force.com/Jeep/s/article/How-do-I-contact-Jeep2

or just from staying in contact with my dealer...

From what I've read, I think the other websites to track build progress have been shut down

Nice!

It was 10 days for me at the body vendor, back in March 2018

KZ status as of today according to jeep chat!!! I wonder how long it will take from here lol. I've seen some people take possession within 5 days of hitting KZ and others have been waiting for weeeeks. I'm going to check in with my dealer to see if he has any other insight.

as far as I know, there are no significant changes between the '19 and '20 models

Dealer is on vacation...so no word from him until next week. I'm hoping for good news though!

Jeep chat still gives the generic "vehicle is in KZ" response when I inquire about shipping updates. The rep this morning did mention their system won't update past the "TBD" delivery status....so any new news will have to come from the dealership.

Side note....I did see on the Belvidere Assembly Plant facebook page that the plant is shut down until 9/3/19...in case anyone else is tracking status updates.

The jeep is at the dealership! The dealer still needs to process it, so it won't be ready until after labor day. I probably won't be able to pick it up until next weekend due to the work week. I'll get some pics up asap though =)

All in all, not a bad process. It was in KZ T status as of Thursday and got to the dealership today. Almost there!!!

AFAIK, there are no significant changes from '19 - '20. I did not see anything in the build sheets for the new MY that looked different from '19. If there is anything, I suspect it will be minor interior styling changes...

This jeep is awesome! Been driving it for about a week and have loved every minute of it! This thing blows my ‘16 out of the water in every category. The headlights are a 100% improvement. The transmission is more responsive and has more pep to it. Beyond happy with my purchase.

I don’t know every little nuance between ‘19-‘20. From what I’m seeing, and my rough knowledge of the ‘19 MY, I’m not seeing anything that is different jumping out at me.

It would help if Jeep released a spec sheet listing any changes for 2020, but the Jeep website doesn't even acknowledge yet that the 2020 Cherokee exists. And I haven't seen any stories in the auto media about this model either.

Looks gorgeous. Now I'm even more convinced than I was that I "need" to black out the shiny bits on our 2015 Latitude. :D

I agree. I'm assuming the website would be updated within a month? 2020's are all over the place, yet there is little to no "official" info out there beyond the basics.
