hello friends, I have a 16 Cherokee, TH. How hard is it to put on rockrails+steps? I also eventually want to put on a bull guard and rear bumper.
I am in Ottawa, any suggestions on how to start?
Hello to all the new owners this past month. Congratulations on your Cherokees. We’ve only had our TH for a coupe months now, but really liking it so far. Hope your experiences continue to be positive like ours so far.
Hi everybody. I just signed on the dotted line TODAY & purchased a 2022 Cherokee Trailhawk Elite from a local dealer. I'm very excited and can't wait till early next week when I can bring it home
I traded a 2009 Ford Mustang GT convertible for it that had accumulated 195,000 km but was still in excellent shape. The dealer actually gave a really good offer on the trade so I'm happy!

This is my 3rd Jeep. I had a '89 YJ Laredo with the carbureted 4.2 litre 6. Bought it quite used & found out the original owner took LOUSY care of it :cautious: so about a year later I traded it in for a 1993 YJ Renegade with the 4.0, that was lifted with nice mudder tires. Nice Jeep but the crappy fuel economy forced me to sell that one too, as I was putting in around $50 gas every few days..
Besides the Jeeps I've also had 5 Mustangs, and the last 2 were convertibles.
Personally I'm glad to be stepping up from a car back into a taller SUV, and am looking forward to lots of happy miles with this TH!

Looking forward to lots of good advice from you guys & this forum! :)

congrats and welcome to the forum! Good for you for grabbing one of the remaining Cherokees especially now that Stellantis/FCA has officially killed off the Cherokee!

Hows the ride so far on those AT tires? Are they noisy?

Sting Grey was my first choice in 2019 when I was shopping for mine, but never found a loaded Elite. I ended up with my second choice, OG...😉😎

The factory Firestone Destination A/T's aren't noisy at all...😎

Welcome from Utah!!!😎
I have finally joined a Jeep Forum (I've owned Jeeps for 5 years now).

I am a Honorably Discharged 100% Disabled Vet (non-combat) - USMC 1981-1988. So, I do this stuff as my only vice (to fill my extra time when my body allows it).

Weirdly, I am the admin for the Chrysler Sebring Convertible Club (International Club) at sebringclub.net & have been a HUGE aficionado of MOPAR for what seems like forever. I've managed that website for 5 years now (I've been a member there for 11 years). The irony is, the Sebring/200 convertible has now been discontinued since 2015..... and now that I am into Jeeps - I bought a KL last year & now that also has been discontinued (as of March 1st). :( Given that I lived close by the Belvidere plant until last November (I moved from Huntley, IL to Streator, IL to be closer to Starved Rock state park), whenever I drove by the plant.... I would always see Cherokees there (since 2017). Last year, I bought a 2019 Cherokee FWD Latitude KL w/ 75k miles as my girlfriend had bought one the previous year (and I fell in love with it). When Chrysler (Stellantis) announced the closing of the plant last month, I decided to get a new trailhawk while I still could. Unfortunately, I could not find a new one with my preferred options (that didn't have HUGE markups at dealerships within a 5 state area.

Luckily, I found a 2020 Trailhawk KL (not the elite) with 51k miles for $21,900 at a Ford Dealership in Huntley. Unfortunately, I could not get a decent trade-in value for the 2019 FWD Cherokee.... so I bought the trailhawk outright on its own (and I now have both KL's & 2 car payments). I am HUGELY happy with it tho.

So, I have been going to the Chrysler Nationals ever since 2014..... first with a 1998 Chrysler Sebring Convertible Limited (w/ a 2.5l), then a 2008 Sebring Convertible Hardtop Touring (with the 2.7l), then lastly a 2013 200 Convertible Hardtop Limited (with the 3.6l).

I went last year to the Chrysler Nationals with a custom built 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.9 (4 inch lift, front locker, Falken Wildpeaks). I plan on going this year with a 1997 Chrysler Sebring JXi showcar called "Halo" (it has a 2002 Mitsu Eclipse GS 3.0 engine in it that has been built out with custom suspension, brakes, paint job, etc.) & pulling it there on a trailer with the 98 Grand Cherokee or my 2020 Trailhawk.

I go to Moab each year (in the beginning of May) with my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.9. My friends call it "The Beast", as it made mincemeat of fins-n-things, hells revenge, & top of the world. I have about $19,000 into the Jeep.

My plans for the 2020 Trailhawk is to take it to the area below Moab, Utah around the weekend of October 14th this year (to see the Annular Solar Eclipse). The reason why I got the Trailhawk, is that I saw it was capable of handling a lot of the same trails as my 98 GC Limited and it would be much easier on my girlfriend versus my "Beast" (this will be her first trip going onto trails & being nowhere). It should be nice and comfortable for the trip back and forth from Illinois (and still capable of going seriously off road). I just need to get some rock sliders for the rocker area & have a OEM hitch/wiring installed - within the next 6 months.

So, my present stable of vehicles are:

* 1972 Lincoln Mark VI (Black w/ Black interior) with a 460 & 75k miles.
Tire Wheel Car Vehicle Hood

* 1997 Chrysler Sebring Convertible JXi (Halo Green) with a Eclipse GS 3.0 engine, big brakes, custom suspension/exhaust/alloys/paint job, roll-bar, etc.
Wheel Tire Automotive parking light Car Land vehicle

* 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.9 (Champaign w/ dk blue interior) with a 360 magnum engine, custom 4" short arm lift, Falken Wildpeak ATW3's, etc.
A pic of me at the "Top of the World" with my 5.9'r.
Cloud Sky Tire Plant community Wheel

* 2010 Toyota Prius "Model 2"
Tire Car Automotive parking light Wheel Land vehicle

* 2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude KL FWD (Black w/ Black interior) with the 3.2 Pentastar, cold weather group, & towing.

* 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk 4WD (Metallic Grey w/ Black Interior) with the 3.2 Pentastar (non elite version).

Hey Jeep Peep’s! I purchased a 2019 Cherokee Latitude Plus 4x4 AD1 (2.4L) back in July of 2021 and joined this forum shortly after but this marks my first time posting to the community.

This has been a great resource to learn from the shadows as there’s a huge wealth of knowledge that all of you guys bring to the platform. But after searching extensively on here, as well as my other Cherokee KL groups on social media for any sort of information about a particular replacement/upgraded part I’m curious about to no avail (will be posting in another section about it shortly), I figured it was finally time to get a bit more involved with the community.

Thank you guys for having me and I look forward to becoming a more involved member on here moving forward.

-Cheers!

Welcome from Utah...Let's see it!!!
Hello everybody. I just picked up a 2015 Limited 4x4 with Active Drive II over the weekend and I'm liking it so far. I'm no stranger to Jeep. This is my 2nd Cherokee (1st was a brand new 99 XJ Sport with a manual transmission) and I currently own a Wrangler JK. Some of you may recognize my username from JK Forums - I recognize some of you. The KL's primary use will be tailgating, light car camping and long distance road trips. We travel from the midwest to Tampa, FL a couple of times a month.

I already have a small issue and I'm hoping to get some help. I was troubleshooting the sunroof/sunshade (won't open) and now it's stuck in a half-open vent position. I tried the re-calibration steps by holding the sunroof close button, but it didn't help. The only response from buttons I get is the actuator gets power (clicks) upon pressing the sunroof close button - nothing from the sunroof open or vent button and nothing from the sun shade button.

Can you guys help a new owner out?

Many thanks and I'm excited to be a part of this community!
