Photos of/thoughts on Vesuvius blue/brown interior?

17942 Views 34 Replies 11 Participants Last post by  GAMTNMANN
Hey all,
Anyone have photos of the Vesuvius interior? I ordered it based on photos on the Jeep website. Some photos out there show a much lighter color combo, which to me is less desirable. I like black and all, but I've had that kind of interior for 10 years and wanted something different.

Post photos if you have, plz.
Thanks!
Mike

Looks great - but depends on exterior color

We saw it on a GC and it looks sharp. But IMHO, it depends on the exterior color as to how well it goes. We ordered the Cashmere exterior and the only interior that looks right to me is the all black. I would much rather have the brown as the only interior color but no way to get just that.

I ordered Vesuvio interior on a Limited and it ships from the factory next week. I selected it after seeing it in the Cherokee Catalog and have not seen it in person. I like the darker look as in the catalog but I have seen other photos where the colors seem washed out. I hope that I did not make a mistake. My exterior color is True Blue Pearl.

The pics on the jeep website don't do it justice. It is actually a deeper, earthier color. I also got it in combination with the true blue exterior, and I think you'll love it.

Well, Jeepster, glad to hear it. Post photos! Thx,
Mike
Only if the trailhawk comes with it, I would've special ordered. I really like it.

The flash makes the blue a bit more overstated than it really is. Wife's Cherokee looks good in the blue/brown interior.

the flash is what scared me!

Yeah, most photos with the flash made me doubt my choice. But I think in natural light it will look sweet.
That flash threw me off as well. Glad to hear that the colors are a little deeper. Mine shipped on Dec 11th, looking forward to seeing it in person. Have no idea how long it takes for delivery to NH.
I've been waiting 5 days-has been enroute on a truck OH-MD. SOmething is up, probably the weather. Should not take this long.
Well, got the Cherokee today, the Vesuvius looks killer. I feel like this interior is way overlooked. My wife loves it as well. 100% happy with it..will post photos tomorrow...

I'm resurrecting this thread to see what you guys think of the Vesuvio interior now that you've had it for a while. I really want to see it in person, but there aren't any anywhere near me. From the pictures, I like the look of the seats. But having the steering wheel and dash be blue concerns me a little. How blue are they? Is it dark enough that it doesn't look THAT blue?

Also, it looks like the stitching on the dash is white or silver? Does that reflect in the windshield at all? Is it distracting?

Thanks for the opinions!

That was what I had before the replacement due to tranny and other issues. My wife and I both loved the color. Both inside and out. Everything on the inside flows very nicely and looks very rich. The only thing we both agreed on was the white stitching could have been any color other than the white that it is. Which I believe over time would probably fade enough to not make it as noticeable. The exterior color changes from dark blue to black at different angles and with the pearl back ground it illuminates quite nicely. You will definitely be pleased with the overall appearance.

Absolutely not on both parts. Just noticeable when looking into the interior upon getting in. Also the pictures do it no justice what so ever. It is deeper than shown in pictures. Must be the flash from the camera distorting actual color. Everything blends quite nicely, and has a very rich look. Believe me you will be happy.

Thanks! How does it compare to the Iceland interior you have now? Which do you like better?
I know this is kind of an old thread, but those pictures just don't do the Vesuvio justice. No offense to the person who provided those pics, I just thought I could add to the greatness with some shots I took as well, it is such a pretty color scheme after all.

For anyone who hasn't yet ordered the Vesuvio (not 'Vesuvius') interior, I highly recommend it. It feels like a step above the black interior, and adds a luxurious safari-type look and feel with the brown accents and contrasting colors. Here are some shots I got the day I brought it home that don't have a flash, and it does a good job showing how the blue is not obnoxious and overstated. It also shows the appropriate dullness of the high-quality leather, as we all know leather is not supposed to be shiny. The blue is nice because it looks light in the day and dark at night, and the brown accents add a cool safari-like presence and a good earth color contrast. Brown is my favorite color though, so I admit that I am biased in that regard. I also like the embossed Jeep logo just below the front seat headrests.

The color scheme is very unique and original; there is nothing else like it in any other car. Plus, it's high-quality, soft, perforated Napa leather—I believe the Napa leather with the Limited's "Luxury" package is a premium option not available in any other comparable vehicle in the non-luxury crossover class. In fact, Napa leather is often an upgrade choice in the luxury brands, and the next-higher option typically offered is semi-aniline leather or similar, and so on.

I have more pictures if anyone wants them. Or they should all be in my albums.

Thanks Michael! Those pics look great, and definitely help me decide without being able to see it in person. I'd love to see the rest of your pictures if you have them handy.
