As I was cleaning my '21 Trailhawk, I stumbled across the front passenger seat cover completely
loose and dangling off the front of the seat. I noticed three clips on the inside of the cover, and those
clips can not hold the seat cover in place as they're supposed to.

The two outside clips on the driver's side seat also don't stay clipped.

Back to dealer this Friday.... I hope the waiting room is comfy. I'm getting a feeling I'll be spending
more time than I'd like there.

Those type of clips are common on all types of cars, imported and domestic.
The way they clip on is not that intuitive, or easy to figure out (a double fold and a big stretch),
but once they are on correctly they work quite well.
It took me a while to figure out the 1st time I came across this on a '87 BMW.
I'm sure your dealer will be able to get them set right.
If not, take the TH to a reputable upholstery shop, they deal with them all the time, and might not even charge you (if they don't charge, give a $20.00 tip).

I’m familiar with them. I know how they flip under and clip in place…Unfortunately these do not. There are metal tabs on the seat base that are supposed to lock the clips in place. They aren’t. Probably need to bend those tabs out a bit more.

At one month of ownership the Stealership can make it right…. I’m sure they’ll get the seats repaired. This is why I pay dealer prep…. when they do it wrong, they get to do it over. 😁

So the Service Department has found the retaining clips on both seats to be damaged.
They will order (2) new bottom seat covers to replace them. Not sure when that will
happen, as those seat covers are back ordered. 😒

I also took note of the hood (bonnet) buffetting a lot at highway speeds (75 mph here).
The Service Tech adjusted the hood bump stops, and reduced it quite a bit, but the hood
still moves quite a bit above 65 mph. A little un-nerving, but I was told the hood does
buffet a little bit at highway speeds... who knew?

Last thing was an abrupt 1st to 2nd shift after sitting overnight. Of course it could not be
duplicated, but, I was told to see if it gets better before the 1st oil change is due. Seems
the transmission is a slow learner, and it needs time to 'settle in'. I found leaving it in Drive
for a few seconds before moving reduces that early morning jerky shift.

Seems the Service Dept is doing what they should be doing, which is comforting. Especially
for a 1st visit at 1500 miles.

I have bad luck with car seats... my last car went back 4 times for a noisey (squeaky) driver seat. I guess
I should be grateful it's just the seats that vex me.

Same thing is now happening on my front seats. The seat maker has an issue making quality seats apparently.
