Parksense sensors problem

I finally picked my Cherokee today.
The only problem I have is with Parksense Active Park Assist setting: I click to enable it through the Uconnect system, but after 2/3 seconds it turns deselected by itself. It doesnt matter if I choose Sounds Only or Sound And Display.
Same for Parksense Active Park Assist Braking setting, it doesn't remain selected.

Is it something that gets fixed with the last Uconnect update?
I can't manage to download it :(

Update:
the Cherokee is in service since Feb 5th. After checking everything and consulting with Chrysler they thought the problem was in the front bumper sensors, so got new ones, painted them, installed and .. still getting the error!
So now they're waiting for other suggestions by Chrysler and God knows when I'm going to get it back.
That must be incredibly frustrating!
Yeah, my wife is mad (that's an understatement) cos we planned a trip from tomorrow to Sunday and had to cancel it. I thought a week could have been more than enough to get it fixed but I was wrong.
Update:

On the morning of Feb 14th they called saying the problem wasn't fixed (the car was there since feb 5th) but I could pick it while waiting for another part to arrive.
At about 16.30 I reach the dealer.
After 30+ minutes they bring me the car with many part still not assembled.
Other 30+ minutes later I got it back with still a part missing.
In the end I could leave only after 6pm with a valentine's day already ruined.

I brought the car back on March 19th. It should take a whole day they said.
Too bad that up to today March 26th, after 2 new different parts changed, they still have the same error code.
Tomorrow I'm leaving and I'll be away until April 6th so I left the car there, hoping in these days a miracle might happen.
Somehow I doubt it will happen..
As expected it's not fixed and they admit they don't know what else to try..
Hi, my cherokee had the same problem three weeks ago, check the complete user manual, I did not find any way to correct it, and last Saturday by magic, the sensors work properly again, now continue to work correctly, even park assist is working again, now try to use the park sense only when I go to park. In Mexico is not posible that the car's owner do the Uconnect upgrade.
I have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Limited edition and have had it to 6 different places (5 of which were Jeep Dealers). When I back up in a large garage or parking lot with nothing in front, the left front and back sensors come on in red (constant sound) saying that there is something very close to the vehicle. There is nothing even close and the nearest object is over 15 feet. After two modules, two wiring harnesses, replacement of sensors, they still have not been able to fix the problem. The car is still at the dealer getting fixed. Note: Also, I pull up close to an object in front and it won't even detect the object till I am nearly touching the bumper. I'm so frustrated with this car. It has less than 2200 miles on it and it's still not right.

Not to mention that the radio always turns on when you start the car and it only has a mute button. So ridiculous that it does not have an off button and no controls to turn it off until you want to use it.
Hi, did you get a result to your park sense being offline ?
I have the same issue.
Can you tell me what happened with yours?
Hi, I have a hard fault with park sense. Ie. Was intermittently working as jeep designed but now it's showing a Ted Service under the Park sense and the dash disable led is on.

Did you finally resolve your issues ?
Reverse sensors not emitting sound

Were you able to resolve your issue?

I recently bought a 2018 Grand Cherokee and I have been having issues with the reverse sensors.
When I Remote Start the car from the key fob, my sensors will not beep as I get close to an object.
The camera works and I still get the yellow and red warning lights when I am nearing an object but no sound.

This only happens when the car has been sitting for about an hour and I remote start the car with the key fob.
Been back and forth with the dealer and they can't find the issue.

Any ideas?

This morning they changed the active park assist module (56038998AG) because of the active code B128F-11 found.
Then tonight, at a traffic light waiting for the green, I got again the error message in the display and its 'self on/off nonsense' started as before. The only difference is that now it doesn't even need a bump in the road or an inclination.
Hello! I have a 2017 Jeep Cherokee and I’ve searched everywhere to find the location of the park sense control module. Could you kindly tell me where the control module is located? Thank so you much in advance!

Asking someone who hasn't been active since 2014 is likely not to get a response from that person. You can click on any avatar, then click on Latest Activity, or if that's empty Discussions. Might try to elicit help from members with relatively recent activity.

Of course, there are active members like @sanghill who will jump in and point you in the right direction too.

Just a thought.
