I finally picked my Cherokee today.
The only problem I have is with Parksense Active Park Assist setting: I click to enable it through the Uconnect system, but after 2/3 seconds it turns deselected by itself. It doesnt matter if I choose Sounds Only or Sound And Display.
Same for Parksense Active Park Assist Braking setting, it doesn't remain selected.

Is it something that gets fixed with the last Uconnect update?
I can't manage to download it :(

Thanks for the tip, I'm going to try tomorrow then I'll report the result.
In the meanwhile I'm happy my wife managed to get the Uconnect update file :)
There is a flash update for the Parksense system - if you strike out maybe pay the dealer a visit and get the update. Apparently, once the front sensors reported an error (mud/ice/etc) they would fail error mode (with no notification) and just not work. The flash fixes this.

Great! Today while diving around for errands, I got this msg 'Parksense Unavailable Service Required' and the led on the switch turned on.
After a while it turned off, just to turn on again later accompanied by that same msg.
Not so happy for being the 2nd day I have the car.

I had the same issue the day i took the car from the dealer

My fix was manually turn off park sense, go to a open area, NOTHING SURROUNDING THE car for at least 15 feet around, turn off the car and then turn it on, apparently it will do some sort of calibration and from then on I didn't had any issues with it

Try this and then report back

Have a nice day

Alex

Today the Parksense has been off (service msg + led on) since I started the car. I went to a spot with nothing around and tried to turn the car off, then on after a bit, I still got the msg and the led on. I tried again after changing settings with no results :(

'Good news'. It seems the problem is the whole parksense module so it has to be changed. In meanwhile I got the car back while they are waiting for the module from Detroit.
Thanks for the update and I'm glad to hear that you will not be without your Cherokee!

Update: I reached home and right after going down the ramp to enter the garage, while reaching my parking space, the led turned off
Not good news, I know our RAM park sense doesn't register with a dirty sensor....could this be a issue?

There were about 30 miles on the car when it happened the 1st time and it was still clean and immaculate.
A bump in the road rather than going up or down the ramp of the garage makes it go crazy. I thought it was a loose wire/connector but unfortunately it's not.

Really hope they can take care of this once and for all with the replacement parts.

This morning they changed the active park assist module (56038998AG) because of the active code B128F-11 found.
Then tonight, at a traffic light waiting for the green, I got again the error message in the display and its 'self on/off nonsense' started as before. The only difference is that now it doesn't even need a bump in the road or an inclination.

That sucks. When I had my at-350-mile 4-system meltdown it didn't seem there was a module at fault. Turns out it was a loose connector to the control module that took a week to find. In your case there is a specific code for a specific module. Did they trace and confirm the wiring is ok? Seems odd a second module would fail.

I'm going back on Wednesday and see.
They said that was that error code with the 1st module and: "Removed and replaced the module, cleared active codes and retested. No codes at this time."
I'll ask to recheck the wiring, but I also was wondering if something about the sensors might have been damaged when they drilled the holes for the plate bracket in the front bumper. Or if the modules got damaged by an external problem (electric or software).

I just had the front plate put on yesterday and the front sensors seemed to be ok when I drove home.

Update:
the Cherokee is in service since Feb 5th. After checking everything and consulting with Chrysler they thought the problem was in the front bumper sensors, so got new ones, painted them, installed and .. still getting the error!
So now they're waiting for other suggestions by Chrysler and God knows when I'm going to get it back.
