Curious why no one is doing Poughkeepsie Gulch?

I'll be on it as soon as I get my Jeep back.

This is actually a good trail. After you get to the trail head, the rest is easy. There is a bypass to get around the wall. That was the toughest section of the trail. There were some obstacles but nothing a stock TH couldn't do. I believe the road in to the trailhead was worse than a lot of the trail.

I didn't find the wall terribly difficult once we found the right line. Now the built Land Cruiser that came up after us on the other hand made it look really tough! Ahahaha
The line that the huge XJ took seemed easier to me but I didn't want easy.

Is this trail one way, or can it be done top down?
I passed across the top of the trail when we headed to Engineer Pass. When we did Engineer, we did not go up Mineral Gulch off of US 550, but went up Corkscrew Gulch, over the top of California Pass, down California Gulch to Animas Forks, then up and over Engineer Pass. Along the way, we passed over the top end of Poughkeepsie. Does anyone go downhill?

We didn't pass anyone going down but I didn't see a sign saying it was one way either. There are plenty of places to pass anyone coming up if you are going down with more space than on the pass trails. If you do decide to go to the wall I would suggest going in from the where the trail splits for the bypass on the south end. That is if you want to go up the challenge rather than down.

I meant where the trail splits headed south, so the north end of the bypass.

During FJ Summit it is only run up. I've done it 4 times and never saw anyone go down. Saw a lot rigs get pulled up, but no downward travel.
