In this thread, post when you ordered, when you receive your Cherokee, and any financial details of your deal that you are comfortable to share.

This should help all of us figure out how long we should be waiting and how much we should be paying.

While I know your intentions are honorable there are too many variables involved in a vehicle order to make this worth while. Things like:

1.) Did you use a Chrysler employee discount? Did you use any other discount?
2.) When you ordered means nothing if the dealer didn't enter the order immediately or if he didn't have allocation.
3.) Again when you receive it means nothing. You have to know which model and which options were ordered. You also need to know your distance from Toledo. Then throw in is there a truck/train going your way that is full except for one available space.
4.) When you order the price is not fixed in stone. Prices can change on the build sheet before delivery. The best you can do is negotiate a fixed amount off or a fixed percentage off what ever the final price may be. We just found out too that Chrysler issued incentives this week. That effects things as well.

ie: Both my mom and dad were Chrysler employees. My dad has passed away but my mom receives his Chrysler benefits as what is called a surviving spouse. I am their eldest son so I qualify to use my mom's discount. My younger brother is friends with the owner of my dealer so I was able to get an exceptional deal. My deal is $1,000 below the Chrysler discount price, whatever that turns out to be. The dealer's owner called in a favor and asked his Chrysler Zone Representative to put a "push" on my car. Even with all of that I have been sitting in D1 for two weeks now. I have an estimated shipping date of 11/04 but don't see how they can meet that. I know from a trusted source Toledo is approximately between one to two weeks behind in fulfilling orders and still has the problem of getting over 18,000 prebuilt vehicles to dealers.

Not to be a smart aleck but did any of that information really do you any good? My point is that each person who would post would have a set of circumstances unique to them

I ordered on October 15th. As of right now, they have not started building mine yet, so it is in Production Scheduled. My dealer thinks I'll get it in November, but I think I'll get it more around December 10-20. I'm hoping for before Christmas. If it's sooner, that's a bonus, but I don't see it.

I was able to modify an existing dealer order that hadn't been built for a Limited 3.2L V6 in granite that was somewhere between 37,000 and 38,000. I took some options off and used the Friends Plan discount, which saved me about $1,800. All told, I think my order is for like $34,000. The Cherokee has black leather, heated seats and steering wheel, sunroof, 4x4, backup cam, and nav. They also agreed to give me $10,000 for my truck that is worth $8,800, so that was nice, and means that, with the $1,000 down payment, I'll finance about $23,000.

The Friends plan discount is cool because it basically erases the tax. If you know anyone who works for Jeep or Chrysler, try to get that.

This is what I have been quoted so far for a vehicle already on the lot:

Let me know what you think of this price quote of a Limited (Granite) 4x4, 6 Cyl, with Nav and winter mats.

MSRP: 33,480
Quote: 31,974

In addition he said I will get a $500 rebate. FYI, I am also using a Friends and Family discount number.

I just got another $600 taken off the price. Will be picking it up next week.

I asked my dealer why I haven't gotten an email from Jeep yet and he said they aren't sending emails out because of all the incorrect ones about shipped/in transit/ build when those statuses aren't correct. Anyone order around 10/30 that has or hasn't gotten an email from Jeep?

I think that all depends on what your dealer means by "they aren't sending emails out". Who is "they"? The dealer or Chrysler? When a dealer enters an order there is a place to turn on VOTS tracking and the customer emails. My interpretation of what your dealer said is that he doesn't want people hassling him about inaccurate tracking or inaccurate emails so he is not activating it. In any case. go over to JeepGarage and become a supporter. Their tracking is more detailed anyway. All you need is your VON or VIN. See below. I am still getting Cherokee tracking emails from Chrysler so the system is still putting out the emails but they are a day or two behind what is actually going on.

My dealer said the Chrysler rep said (I know it's like telephone) that Chrysler isn't sending out emails... It's been well over a week and I haven't gotten my order confirmation email.
My salesman told me he can check the status and has been but there are no updates on mine.
I plug my VON number into VOTS and it's telling me invalid VON number...

LOL, give it some time. I know you are anxious as we all all are. I ordered on 9/25 and didn't get my order confirmation email until 10/10. VOTS didn't work for me until 10/10 either. BTW, don't go by what your dealer's rep says. He is nothing more than a glorified salesman. He will say/do whatever it takes to get your dealer to buy more inventory.

I ordered Tuesday 11/5 at 6pm. Limited 4WD, Technology package, sunroof and V-6. Price was $34,556. I received an email this morning (Monday 11/11) from Jeep confirming the order and giving me the VON. When I clicked the link in the email, it said Production Scheduled.

You should give your dealership a call because I'm proof that they are sending emails out.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but in my email, they didn't give me a VON number. My tracking info is Last Name and last 8 of a VIN number.

I ordered a Black, Limited, V6, FWD, Luxury Group, Tech Group, Sunroof, Nav and upgraded sound system on 11/5/13. This morning, 11/11 I received an email that my car has gone to "Production Scheduled". This is going to be a long wait, but worth it.

Chrysler must have spies on this forum.

got the Scheduled for Production email today!

so... all parts are available for my build!
Don't be surprised. Car makers do have people that lurk the internet for them. I know Chevrolet has a customer support team that goes on forums and interact with people. Jeep needs to do that here with us.
