Hey everyone, my friend (Moab on here) told me about this forum and I figured I'd sign up.

I loved my venerable XJ Cherokee, and have many fond memories of college ruckus with it. :D Never let me down. Now that I have a child on the way, I've been revisiting the idea of having a small SUV in the house and the new 2014 Cherokee may be just the ticket for me.

Looking forward to learning more about the Cherokee with all of you!

x2, I think this forum seems to be the best place for the new Cherokee. I don't own one yet either of course, but I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge too.

I am new to the Cherokee Owners Club, but not new to Jeep ownership. I currently own a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I have previously owned a 1963 Jeep FC150 pickup, a 1967 Jeep J20 pickup, a 1973 Jeep CJ5, and a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I'm looking forward to lots of off-road fun with my Trailhawk. Currently, I am upgrading the very poor lighting on this rig.

Hey there @Mikeyd ; welcome to the forum !

Ah the pathetic halogen headlights... something I feel strongly about myself. If you need any pointers to get the upgrade done, just ask on the forum, quite a few of us have done this job... You won't regret it ! I swapped the halogens for 35W HIDs (4300K bulbs) and the difference is huge. Not perfect because of the optics (narrow beam), but much-much better output. Keep us posted !

If you are adding lights to your Cherokee I would seriously consider getting mounting brackets from Mohawk Off-road Fabrication. They are custom made for each application. I have used them at the front and the back of my Cherokee. I am still waiting for the pair of Hella 50F fog lamps for the front. Currently have a pair of Hella 50F driving lights at the front and they are outstanding on the highway at night. The rear backup lights are 4" cube LED lights I picked up at O'Reilly auto parts. What a difference backing up to my trailer at night.
