So has anyone heard if there will ever be map updates we can buy? I have a 2019 and would like to have it updated

Refer to your Uconnect Owner's manual, it should have come with your Cherokee.
According to mine Canadians can call 855-209-8317 and refer to www.MoparOwnerConnect.com
Your Jeep dealership should be able to help, usually I ask the sales people. Probably the sales manager.
