I cannot believe I am typing this, but I just had to share.
When I bought my 2017 TH at the end of 2016, I was skeptical. Sorry if I offend anyone, but Fiat and Chrysler do not stick out in my mind as the leaders in reliability. I loved the Cherokee TH so much, I just planned to get a 100k warranty and deal with the problems and trade it in before the warranty was up.
What a surprise! I have owned Honda's and a WAY over rated Subaru. This Jeep has blown them out of the water as far as functionality and reliability. At over 95k miles here is my list of maintenance, this is a complete list:
1) 9 oil and filter changes
2) new battery
3) 3 cabin and air filter changes

that is it. No tires, no brakes, nothing else. I have beat this truck up off road and it just keeps on running without any problems. Now that the warranty is almost up, I will be taking this truck into Phase II of it's life, off road up grades and some more serious off road adventures.

I hope others have had the great luck I have with this amazing truck, I could not be happier!

Great to hear about such a positive experience, but 95k on the stock Firestone tires?

My apologies, its 94k miles, I remembered wrong. You would be surprised how coasting to a red light vs being in a big hurry to get to it extends the life of tires and brakes. I understand your skepticism, my friends don't believe me either when I lecture them about thier driving habbits lol

Those tires look pretty worn. Maybe time for some new shoes……

That is what has motivated my visit to these forums. Now that my Jeep is on the "second phase" of it's life, post warranty, I want to get a lift and tire upgrade. Exploring the best setup here. People have been so helpful, what a great community.

I'm at 166K miles. a cpl drive shafts & radio had to be replaced. went thru lots of cheap brakes after my mech replaced the originals which lasted 70k miles. by comparison to other cars it has indeed been very reliable!

where's your photo? ;-)
I posted pics of my 94k original tires lol. Youve done great for 166k! These are great vehicles.

Sacramento CA, ill be getting new ones soon. Im sure my brakes have had it also, they are original as well.
Either you don't go to Tahoe in the winter, or you have chains! That tire is prime for a blowout!
If you just stay in the valley, and with so little rain out there lately, you've been lucky.
Lived on P St, as well as in Marysville (USAF) and Chico (CSUC) :)
Glad you're looking to replace!

Not the Jeep (yet)...
Used to drive an old (mint) Imperial out there in all types of weather, thing was a tank, and only had those plastic mini chains for when the pass required it!
