The a/t tires are most important. Lots of rocks out there.

Pick up a local off road guide. One where they "rate" the difficulty of a particular trail. Many trails would definitely be doable by a Limited. Some are even doable in 2WD. Others not so much, even for a stock TH. Some trails need heavy modifications to pass the trail.

The a/t tires are most important. Lots of rocks out there.

That is my number 1 concern. Floating on rocks is not fun.

Not this last trip, other than a little section below the Shafer Trail. The Park Service was reporting some sections that had washed out from a storm two weeks earlier.


I have completed the White Rim Trail all the way around, from Mineral Bottom and up the Shafer Trail. Took 3 days and 2 nights to do it. That was an awesome trip, back in 2004.
