we have a base Cherokee with a manual seat. We set the seat bottom in the highest position possible, but after a while, I feel like the seat needs to be "pumped" up again, You don't actually feel when it lowers, but it definitely does.

Is there a way to tighten the seat?

I think that happens to me sometimes. I think when i slide out the door I must push down on the lever with my hip or butt. i have to pump it up now and then too.

Mine is always down, so I can't relate. But the bumping into the lever does sound like a probable cause.
