Hi @natedawg1980 , you might be in some uncharted territory here because I think only a couple of people have done seat swaps. There are a couple things to consider:
1. Lot of items on the Cherokee have to be programmed into the Body Controller Module in order to work. This is why, when you go on your uConnect radio you see an option to turn on the heated seats. The Cherokee was also sold with a ventilated seat option (or both heated and ventilated). In that case, icons show up on the uConnect screen to turn the seat heat/fan on/off. There are no physical buttons. To change options in a Cherokee you need a mobile application called "AlfaOBD" and an interface (or have the dealer do it if they will). If you search the forum you'll find out more about AlfaOBD. Unless you can "tell" the car you have certain options, they won't work. In your case you're trading like-for-like with the heated seats however it's possible the automatic seat movement might need programming into the car computer because some Cherokees (I think in the EU) have a seat memory feature. This would almost certainly require the seats to be programmed thus the car may need to be "told" you now how electric seats in order for them to work.
2. As for the harness, I'm not quite sure. It may be the same harness (e.g. one harness works for seat heat/fan/movement/airbag etc.) or there may be a sub-harness. Best bet is to keep searching the posts. Also check the Mopar parts website under "electrical". See if any of the diagrams show additional harnesses.
In the end alot of this is hit or miss. Please post the outcome if you do try it.
Thx!
