There is a favorite feature thread, how about a least favorite/ what were they thinking thread.

My top (and only) two

1. Rearview camera - bad location constantly getting dirty
2. Remote gas cap - not so good in the winter, keeps getting frozen shut so i have to pound on it to break it up then run back and forth pushing the button trying to pop it open.

I think my least favorite feature is fact that they didn't use a capless gas filler. These have been around for a few years now and they are very convenient. My Expedition has the capless setup and I really like it.

The other thing is the power liftgate. I don't really like power lift gates or power seats. I just don't see the point. I can open and close the liftgate or adjust the seat much faster manually than I can waiting for the electric motors to do it, and those motors are just more things to eventually fail and replace as the car ages.

My wife is not tall. This was a requirement of hers on any new vehicle. I think it's odd the fuel filler is slightly angled. Also passenger side location is odd for security reasons.

White Bomber, what kind of phone /provider? My wife streams Pandora. Works the same in the Cherokee vs previous aftermarket radios.

putting the tank on the passenger side

Agreed, it's on the "wrong" side

Actually unless it can be fixed, my least favorite thing would be the terrible bluetooth connection to my phone, when playing music. Cuts out so much I don't even use it. Hoping when I take it in for the first time, this can be remedied.

Lack of Auto Headlights on the Latitude model. The vehicle feels like a computer with the Uconnect, doors lock automatically when reach speed, but have to constantly flick head lights / running lights on and off? Taking some getting used to for sure... Not REALLY a luxury feature IMO.

Yep, I can agree with that. A couple extra gallon capacity would really boost range.
But it is sure nice to fill up at $35 instead of the $50+ on my Grand Cherokee V8. the extra MPG takes care of most of the range for me.

I just wipe mine off when it starts to get hazy. I do not think there is any good spot.
The gas cap I hate!!!!!!!!! I keep forgetting to hit the open button.

My two least favorite features are as follows, in order:

1. No way to check transmission fluid level, no dipstick.
2. Small fuel tank capacity.

I have decided I am going to get an aftermarket dip stick from Matco or the like and when I go in for an oil change I will get them to check the level and I will note the tranny temp at that time.

Then I am going to check myself and give myself and mark the dip stick.

My car; I am not going into the dealer every time I want to know the status of tranny fluid.

The fuel cap on the passenger side. I really feel it is a safety issue. I remove the key and lock the door to get gas now. If it were on the driver side I would not worry about leaving my key in the ignition and my purse on the seat as I wouldbe right bythe door.

Do you have the technology package? I don't, but that seems like the only reason that this could be happening. If so, perhaps there is a setting that can be changed?

1. Headlight knob where my knee hits it getting in and out
2. 911 button on rear view mirror where I normally put my hand to adjust the mirror
3. Gas Cap doesn't stay on the door hook, dangles against the side of the Jeep
4. Headrest can't be adjusted
5. Uconnect voice recognition is poor
6. Uconnect Navigation doesn't import POI from other Garmins
7. Uconnect Navigation system can't change the voice
8. Uconnect Navigation system map is 2 years old
9. Uconnect Bluetooth audio doesn't support playlists

No. Just varies from brand to brand, sometimes differs between models in the same brand. No rhyme or reason imo to put it on the passenger side in NA.

Without the electronic tailgate feature, you have to use your key fob or grab the drivers or passengers door handle before you can open the tailgate. Very inconvenient if you have packages in your hands.
