I have a 2015 Cherokee Trailhawk and I want to update the maps in my 8.4AN system. As usual, the latest map requires the latest Uconnect software. My system identifies my software version as 18.45.01. When I go to Uconnect and enter my VIN, they tell me the latest software version is:
“Uconnect_VP4,18.45.01-My13-17”
“Release Date: 2019-10-09”
I believe my system has the latest version but I would like to be sure. I spot the 18.45.01 in both but I don’t know if the suffix “-My13-17” is a modifier to what’s in my system thereby requiring a software update. Can anyone verify my software version is the latest? Further, does anyone know what that suffix indicates? Also, the larger question, is there a trailing window of software updates? That is to say, after a vehicle gets to a certain age, FCA/Uconnect isn’t putting any more effort into software updates; they’ve moved on; it’s as good as it gets.
