My wife is into month 4 with her new Cherokee Limited and loves it. There is, however, a problem with the lane sense (it doesn´t work) and the auto high beam (works sometimes, but mostly doesn´t). Took it to the dealer today and they really don´t know what to do about it now, but are looking for a solution. Will pursue that later.

Anyone else experienced something similar? Advice.

Mine has been perfect.
Did you check the setting (in u connect) for any thing that is turned off? Most are adjustable or can be turned off. My dealer turned on everything and adjusted them for me. I changed a few settings.
Lane sense only works above a certain speed like 37mph maybe higher.
It only works if it can clearly see the lane markings......
Do you see a vehicle to the top left of the speed.
White in non functioning due to speed etc.
Auto Hi beams are sensitive to street lights etc. Check your settings for any adjustments.
Mine do turn off and/or will stay off if there is any light ahead.
Country roads is the best without street lights, etc.

You might be the first to post about this. Post what the cause was, if they find it.
Had the Cherokee in for the second try on the lane sense problem. I left them copies of the owners manual (manual not the driver´s guide) which explains exactly what is supposed to happen. Also talked extensively with the advisor about the problem. At the end of the day today, he called saying that we needed to come in at 9AM in the morning to show them what the problem is with the car. All comments/suggestions appreciated.

Thanks, Jeepster1. Yes, all these bases have been covered.

I haven't been able to use my lane sense because the module for the adaptive cruise control was bad (I assume same module). My second time back to the dealer today for same thing, dropped of at 8am and they had trouble with the installation and didn't have time to program it. I needed my vehicle tomorrow so I agreed to pick it up and bring it back next week. I drove less than a mile and the collision sensor detected a man on the side of the road and slammed on my breaks while I was driving. Had to go back to the dealer so that they could disconnect the collision sensor. This issue started while using the adaptive cruise control, that time I was driving 55 mph when it braked for no reason. I don't know if this is related to your problem, but have the sensor checked, this is definitely a safety issue. I was fortunate that I did not have anyone tailgating me for both instances. I am not a happy Cherokee owner right now. Oh, did I mention that my air conditioner didn't work either and had to be fixed!! Oh, and I needed a software flash update because my outside temperature only works sometimes, most of the time it reads 77 degrees in 90 degree weather. One more, I have the wobble when accelerating and they told me that it is because of my driving habits. I bought it in January and I am on a first name basis with the dealer already.

Thanks, Marie, for that post. My wife's is still in the shop as I write. We had to go over again this morning to meet with the tech because, according to the advisor, we need to all be on the same page. Have not heard anything since then. Thus far, the only problems we have had are with the Forward Collision, Auto Hi beam and lane sense. Too bad about all your trouble. When it is right, it is a great driving car, compares to my wife's previous BMW X3. Keep us posted on your progress. Phil

After two weeks, lane sense seems to be up and running correctly. Problem was the laser camera which mounts behind the rear view mirror. It had to be replaced even though the computer said there was nothing wrong.

Warning light came on my 2021 Jeep Latitude Lux, Lane Sensor Failure, Front Camer needs service, took it in and it needs a new connector and new wiring, service dept stated moisture got in it and shorter it out.

I usually just keep my Lane Assist off, because most of the lines are faded where I live anyway. Plus if there’s areas that have been resealed it seems to want to pick that up as a line, when it is not. Mine has worked well on the interstate, though.

Ya, me too. That's annoying as hell, just like the ESS, which I also turn off every time I start the car...😎

Me too! I despise it, apparently you can disconnect that portion of the harness near the negative terminal of the battery, but it’ll send a trouble code. So I just push the button in hopes that it’ll always work. I’m not sure if you can also turn it off in the infotainment somehow, I really haven’t looked. I know the info center in the center of the gauge cluster will say whether it’s on or off, or if the system is “ready.” I’m intrigued to go look at mine later. It doesn’t save much gas anyway. They can say the starter is more powerful and stronger all they want to, but it’s just going to wear prematurely. 🤔
