KL Tow Hooks on a non-Trailhawk

So I have been slowly upgrading things here and there and one of the top things on my to-do list is to install tow hooks on my 2019 KL Latitude Plus, partly for looks, and partly for future off-roading endeavors. I’ve looked into tube bumpers and they’re ridicuously expensive, so I think tow hooks will do for now until I can save up some more cash.

I found these on Hazard Sky and install seems pretty straight forward: KL Front Tow Hooks for non-Trailhawk

Has anyone installed these for their non-Trailhawks?

These hooks were discussed several years ago as a reasonable cost upgrade.
A forum member had a very similar set up he could have manufactured and sell to those interested.
For all practical purposes those from Hazard look identical from what I remember from the forum member.
What the story was between the two I have no idea.
I am sure if you spend a little time doing a forum search here on those hooks you will get all the information you want.
I believe there was even install instructions. Its a bit of work and cutting( plastic on the grill)..

From my perspective over the years those were the only reasonable alternative for non Trail Hawk Cherokee tow hooks.
The alternative was a complete change of OEM parts install to get those hooks. Requires changing out other parts. Cost was north of $1,000.
The Hazard set requires replacing the OEM aluminum brackets with steel ones in the kit I believe. From a safety point you will have to determine if that degrades or compliments
the vehicle bumper structure. I have no idea.
I always thought that was the way to go if I wanted hooks on my 2014 Limited with AD2.

Let us know how it comes out.

The hooks from HS are the exact ones from the member you referenced, tbrou6229. They were designed after my extensive efforts to get the OEM hooks on my 2014 Latitute ADII (my struggles were documented here: tow hooks on non TH) . I eventually made the OEMs work, but with the time and money spent the hooks now available thru HS are definitely the best way to go. I have seen these hooks live and in person and they are premium quality.

Be sure to post photos of the completed job. Even better post some of the project if you do it your self.
Has it easy or hard and nay pitfalls to watch out for.
Were you able to install them without removing the front facia. How did you do it? Any chance of posting the instructions? I may order a set of these. Also, what did you use to cut out the plastic? Can you possibly post a close up? They look great. Do you have a lift BTW?

I had a local shop install them for me. They did say the fascia needed to be removed. Not sure what they used to cut the bumper. I attached the installation guide that came with the kit.

And yes, I have a 1.5” lift, also from Hazard Sky!

Thanks Timize, looks great. I’ve got an auto body friend that can likely help me.

Would the installation of these void the factory warranty by any chance?

Your Jeep is awesome I have a 2017 grand cherokee And a 2020 Cherokee. What size tires did you put on yours after the 1.5“ lift?
With the OEM hooks you definitely do have to change out the aluminum crash bar for the steel one from the Limited w/Elite Pkg or the TH so the OEM hooks will have something to bolt to. Overall the cost definitely isn’t north of $1k. The chrome hooks are more pricey than the black and red ones. You do have to add the brackets that bolt onto the frame rail as well. Overall it wasn’t that bad to install. I am realizing this is an old thread, oops! Your KL looks great though! I need to invest in a trailer hitch and lift next.
