Just traded in my 2014 TH for a 2015

I just traded in my 2014 TH 2.4 Litre I-4 for a 2015 TH V6 3.2 litre and all I can say wow what a difference in the two . First of all the I-4 was a piece of garbage , way under power and also the nine speed automatic doesn't help the situation . So if your out shopping for a new Cherokee make sure you don't get ripped off and fall for the 2.4 litre I4 . I don't understand why Jeep (Fiat) would use a four banger for a high rated off roading vehicle like the TH .

If I was at the head of Jeep, I would look at the V6 3.2 as the economic version of the Cherokee.
Plus, I would offer a supercharged version of it as an option... but it's just my opinion!

Welcome to the forum!
Please go easy. Some guys on here - plenty of them - have the I-4. No need to insult their cars, which many of them love.

If I could afford two vehicles, I would have a Latitude with ADII and the 2.4L, because really that is all I need. Then I would still have my Cummins or another larger 4x4 for towing. But I can't. There is a large market for the 2.4L, and an equal market for the 3.2L.

Welcome to the Forum and congrats on the new ride.
Welcome

I sort of agree with you, I don't really get the 2.4l. I guess if you are really concerned with fuel economy but the vehicle weighs 4000 + lbs, the 4 banger is a bit weak.

That being said I never actually test drove the 4 cylinder, I knew I was going for a v6.

I test drove a 4cyl Sport as my first test drive and if it was just going to be a commuter vehicle, it would have been fine. But I tow a trailer regularly and often am not on paved or clear roads....therefore the six.
