Just when I was about to give up and place an order for a Cherokee, I did one last search on the Jeep website this morning. I am very excited to report that we just drove home in a new Cherokee Limited!

Here were the options we picked:
I4, Active Drive II, Luxury Group, Navigation, 9 speaker stereo, and sunroof.

We really didn't want the sunroof and will have to add a hitch for our bikes, but we were able to get a great deal and now get to break in the Cherokee on our 1500 mile trip home for Christmas instead of waiting on a custom build.

Thanks again for all of the advice you guys gave me. I'm super excited to be driving a Jeep!

I didn't want the sunroof either but it was hard to find a Trailhawk with the options I wanted and no sunroof. What dealer did you use?

I got quotes from four dealers, but Flemington Jeep ended up having the best price by about $500. They were way under the offer that Baker Jeep gave us on our trade but we got them to match it. Hope you find your Trailhawk!

I have one, bought from World Jeep in Shrewsbury.

Thanks everyone! It got here in time for the first snow of the year. I took it out to "test it" (play around) last night and it performed much better than my 2012 Equinox. Looking forward to six more inches of snow tomorrow!

My review so far:

Likes

  • Great handling on snow packed roads, even in "auto mode."
  • After three hours on the road, the seats were still very comfortable and I was having no back pain (my constant complaint about my old Equinox).
Minor Dislikes

  • The navigation system had several problems. It directed me to two dead end streets and several illegal turns.
  • The stereo only allows 12 presets per band. My Equinox had 35 total that you could mix and match. Having 12 presents for XM is pretty limiting.
I will be driving 2,500 miles round trip to visit my family for Christmas so I will be sure to come back to provide a longer review on my KL's cross country Christmas adventure. :)
