Yea, that looks like something I would do. If I could find a hole deep enough here in Texas without completely submerging it.

Amazing! I've never seen a hole that big! I'm assuming it went through no problem?

That looks surprisingly clean for just being pulled out of a mud pit. What on earth do you detail your car with!? =D

Nice pic, I actually did almost exactly the same thing with mine.......I'm guessing the end result was similar....took me a few days to get the carpets out and dried

Yeah nearly a week to get my carpet dry :) was a bit disappointed that the water ingress point is lower than the wading depth but I think "wading" implies forward motion, making of a bow wave etc, whereas "bathing" implies sitting stuck in a mud puddle while wrangler owners point and laugh.

Still I have a significantly more comfortable commute ;)

Okay, Lenoir and SpeedtekTH, I'd like to ask about this water issue you two had. Seriously. I'm an avid storm chaser and I personally never ran into this problem. The doors appeared to be sealed with all the water I encountered. But now I believe I may have never actually gotten the doors deep enough. With that said, if the wading depth is 19" or 20, I personally add an inch for the tires I've got since they are taller. Anyways, lets say 19" that's well above the door lines. Will the Cherokee survive being submerged like that? What about the interior? I'd be PISSED to drive through something like that only to find the doors aren't sealed. I assumed it was like the Ranger Rovers (which have a 30" wading depth).

I buried mine pretty much up to the Cherokee emblems and it actually kept the water out for a couple minutes. After that it was slowly seeping in. As Lenoir said......if you were moving....probably wouldn't have an issue. if you were moving through that depth of water slowly for any length of time, it may start leaking a bit.
To be fair I was stuck waiting for my winch out for about 20 minutes.....took on about an inch of water in that time

OK I sat like this for about 5 - 10 mins while sorting out the recovery:

About 5 mins in I noticed water coming in under the door. From the silt evident on the door sill it was evident that it had seeped in under the door seal.

Though not tested, I suspect it is fine if you're moving through the water, but she does not like to be sitting in water above the level of the door seal.

No, they certainly don't....lol
Did you take out your front seats to dry underneath the padding?.....if you didn't it is quite thick and I would hazard a guess that it is still damp and getting musty. Fun that Jeep put in those lovely bolts with the unusual head on them.
Mortorq bit.......that was fun to get sourced....had to order online from snap-on

I had to pull the rears as well....had seepage in the back doors too.....
