I guess the winch is probably toast as well?
Glad he's okay.

That thing is badass, it's too bad their price point was just a little out of most people's budget. I think they could have sold many more, and continue to manufacture them. I would have bought one for my 2019, but not for like just south of what, $2000, plus a small fortune for shipping??? That's a little much.Final tech package bumper. On a side note, install the winch before you put on the outer shell, it'll save you a little bit of time.@Snowhawk2015 - got any notes about how you got the parking sensors attached? I hear they're tricky, and an email chain w/ExpeditionOne mentioned that I'd have to make the holes and such myself -- which I knew, and is fine, but would appreciate any insights you might have.
@Housekat23 - thanks! was planning to get a winch while I'm at it. Do you have a recommended brand that you like?On a side note, install the winch before you put on the outer shell, it'll save you a little bit of time.
Right now all my front sensors and Adaptive Cruise Control are inop as I haven't gotten them aligned yet. Its a weird thing they put on it to align the radar as the shop put it which stinks. Snowhawk may have had better luck as I had to relocate mine to the other side being a 2019. Also a winch is kinda one of those things thats a preference to a person. My main thing with a winch is I could relocate the box and it uses synthetic line. I went with 13000lbs although I think most people go with 10,000 to 12,000lbs winches. Warn is one of the better ones from what i've seen, but pricey, although you pay for quality. Right now my sensors are turned off manually, I think the fuse is F66 though if you want to remove the fuse as the KL did try to Brake on me lol.@Housekat23 - thanks! was planning to get a winch while I'm at it. Can you explain a little more about the realignment that needed to be done with the sensors? What did it involve? Before they were realigned, what was the immediate effect on the park sensor's behavior? Do you mean physical alignment (i.e. making sure the sensors are pointed the correct direction), or was it more like software calibration to make sure they worked basically like before, or something else?
haha, I get this even with stock. I feel like the system is both brake happy (i.e. when someone creeps towards your lane a little bit), but also brakes late when approaching a stoplight (brakes later and harder than I do when driving manually).... I think the fuse is F66 though if you want to remove the fuse as the KL did try to Brake on me lol.
I don't think @Snowhawk2015 has the Tech Package on his, but don't quote me...😎Right now all my front sensors and Adaptive Cruise Control are inop as I haven't gotten them aligned yet. Sorry guys, I don't get notifications when you tag me. I out in the wild most of the time (working on easing into retirement) so it's difficult to check the threads.@Snowhawk2015 - got any notes about how you got the parking sensors attached?
