It took 7 days for mine to go from I to KZ status. Some others said theirs never updated, but the dealer called them and said the Jeep was there. The updates are only as good as the data, so if a scan gets missed or there is a computer glitch, the updates might not be accurate. Are VOTS, MOTS & jeepstatus.com all giving you the same info?

Lucky you folks down south get those 3 options to use, I simply have to rely on my dealer providing me updates, its a fine balance between wanting to be informed, and being a PITA with the dealer

Spoke with my dealer again today - the TH I ordered Nov.11/13 is currently sitting on a rail car in Montreal and scheduled to be trucked to my dealer on Jan.6/13, which is pretty close to what I expected. Its been a looooong wait - LOL.

Can't wait to get my VIN so I can enjoy the agonizing details of my Cherokee's progression through the delays of my wait for delivery. You guys who already have that have had all the fun so far.....now it's us newbie's turn ;-}

Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll continue to let her find her own way to Ottawa - LOL.

My old snow blower just died on me & I need to buy a new one today as snow is forecast for Sunday, so I won't have any spare time for my TH until next week anyway.

My Limited has been in final inspection for over 2 weeks now I am seeing code I Final Inspection Built Not ok'd ??? Any info on this would be helpful
It could also simply mean they found some issues on inspection that had to be resolved and its taking some extra time.
Also the reporting has not been the best at times (as mentioned before) and the movement gets ahead of the actual data output (print). My Cherokee was at the dealer 2 days before it appeared in print. My Cherokee went through (I) in one day but stalled out on an auto carrier to dealer for 5 days. It was reassigned and on a auto carrier for another week and delivered. Is that logical? The whole process was still only about 6 weeks.
But its very fast after you get out of (I).
Hang in there
Ordered 11/08
D1 on 11/20 maybe 11/21 See I have forgotten already
Build and (I) 12/11 and 12/12
Dealer 12/23

well I ordered my limited on Nov 2 The delivery date was to be December 2 All went as planed until inspection where I get code I not oked
My dealer who is very good isn't getting answers and it is now 2 weeks under the title inspection

My gut feeling is to reorder and not take this one How can I find out what is really the hold up so as the consumer I can make an educated purchase without worry I am getting something that might have problems after delivery??

For now I am going to wait until Friday and see if there is movement If not then reorder If there is movement I will want to know what was the problem and request a special buy on an extended warrantee

I would not worry about this at all. In fact you should be happy.
From what I understand they pull random samples, Your Cherokee, to check every part and function to make sure its up to Chryslers/Jeep standard and production/suppliers are doing their jobs. You probably will even see some extra mileage from track testing. Other than some delay in shipment, which might even save you a trip or two to the dealer, Your Jeep will have been gone over with a "fine tooth comb".
That is a good thing!
Just hold in there.

Grubin,
Feeling your same pain. Sitting in inspection since build on Dec. 13 on a MI lot with no movement and real help from Chrysler on why. Estimated delivery date of Dec. 24. Don't know how you haven't pulled your hair out with an estimated Dec. 2 date. It's frustrating watching other cars move that were ordered and built after ours. I'm starting to think the 100% inspection team took the last few weeks of the year off. It's hard for me to believe that 100% inspection takes 3-4 weeks compared to standard inspection that is 1-2 days. Also considering canceling but going with something else other than Jeep. But going to give it a couple of days more then make a decision. I'm just racking up more and more miles on my trade in. Like someone said over at Jeep Garage. We are just a number on a spreadsheet and they don't care what we do. They will sell the car anyway because there is a demand. Best of luck on what you decide to do.

I'm in the same boat except I wasn't in inspection. I'm just in plain purgatory in Toledo. Talked to the dealer on Saturday, and he said they have no control over it. Don't understand how they can't get one vehicle from Toledo to Western NY. :(

Guys, please take into consideration that Michigan has been hit by one winter storm after another. First it was ice, now it is snow and blowing snow. We have gone a week at a time will out electricity. Many reports and pictures of big trucks off the road and/or over on their sides. Many highways here are completely closed. Since your Cherokees are being shipped via truck I would be thankful the trucking company is being careful and not attempting to put their trucks on the road into those situations. We received 16 inches of snow yesterday. The plows are having difficulty keeping up with the weather and a shortage of salt and brine is starting to develop. The weather reports for next week look better as there is supposed to be a thaw and moderation in temperatures. Perhaps there will be some movement then. I understand the wait is hard but I would rather my new Cherokee be delivered in one piece than rush it in these weather conditions.
