hey,
I just put a blackhorse bull bar on my sport 4x4 as well, it was a really really simple install (I have very little experience) and simple to paint as well. I bought mine on amazon, chrome since the black was like $100 more and just painted it with plasti dip. now im just researching the best light bars to hang on it.

There is a company on ebay called blackhorse that sells them to. I have one on my trailhawk.

Here's some pictures of mine, it was only available in chrome when I bought it so I painted mine black with Plasti-Dip.

That looks good. What does it mount/secure to?

it mounts to your frame under the car, however you have to take off the sheild under your car to gain access to the frame and then make two thin cuts to allow the arms to penetrate. it comes in two peices, one part attatches to the frame and the other part is exposed bull bar. ill put in some pics as soon as i can.

It's not really designed for the trailhawk as it cut approach angle significantly and requires the skid pan to be cut. I am also not a fan of the mounting as a small tap from the front will easily push it into the front bumper.

I agree with you that it is more cosmetic than functional, but I did bounce it off a guardrail going to work in a snowstorm last winter, it only moved a little bit and saved my front end from taking damage, as far as off roading goes I'm more of a mudder than a rock crawler and I still have been able to negotiate some nasty hills without hinderence and it gave me a place to mount lights to.

Bull bar for Trailhawk

Hi, I have a 2016 trailhawk. The ones listed on BlackHorse website says it wont fit trailhawk editions, plus it looks different than the one you have on yours. Where did you get yours ? Do you have the part #? Any info would be of great help. Thanks.
