Having trouble seating and locking a new HID headlight bulb in your Jeep Cherokee? The bulb fits very snugly due to O-rings. Ensure the tabs are correctly aligned, then gently push and wiggle the bulb while pushing it 'in'. You should feel it go all the way in, then rotate it clockwise 1/4 turn to lock it. If it's still difficult, examine the receptacle for a small tension flap at the top. Slightly reducing the tension on this flap can help. Some users have reported needing multiple attempts before the bulb finally pops in.

I don't have HID on my 2014. but I've replaced my headlights a cpl times. I know they probably designed the things to be somewhat idiot proof. guess they never met me. I'm finally pretty good at it. but changing the fog light bulbs is much easier
