I'm ordering a 2020 Cherokee Trailhawk Elite within the next 2 weeks. I want lots of options, ventelated/heated seats, sunroof, rock rails, tech group and tow package. On the fence about what engine to get and the stereo. Hoping to get some feedback from you guys.

V6 or turbo 4? Trailhawk will be a daily with some playtime off road maybe a few times a year. Will tow a small camper/dump trailer sometimes but nothing over 4k lbs. Is the V6 a little sluggish, can the more peppy 4cyl handle off road fun and towing?

Standard radio or Nav? Mainly stream music but occasionally might use navigation. Is voice command cool is the Nav radio a must have? Have kids so i guess I might pay for the moble hotspot like once a year, but not necessary. Just want them to think I'm cool! Haha jk.

I live in Arizona so going to pass on the engine block heater.

Going to test drive a few jeeps next week but all they have in my area are base model trailhawks. I have been out of the jeep game since high school (85 CJ7). I miss that jeep! Thanks in advance.

I love my 19 Elite. It has literally everything available. When I was shopping, I was really set on the 3.2 V6, but I got such a great deal on my 2.0T equipped Trailhawk, and after owning it now for a year, I'm glad I got the 2.0T. There's plenty of power, and it seems to be working better with the ZF9 speed transmission. Driveability is outstanding, both on and offroad. I average 26-27 mpg, with as high as 31-32 on road trips, and I have a bit of a lead foot. Reliability has been excellent with zero issues. I do have the Premium Alpine System, and it is pretty decent compared to the standard HD system. Anything else I can answer for you, just ask. Good luck with the shopping, hopefully you can find a great end of year deal like I did.

I certainly respect everything Flybynightcru said, but my 3.2 has been good as gold: on the highway, off road, and towing. I’m not sure you can make a bad choice between those two.

For nav, I’m pretty likely to use my phone through CarPlay, which works great.
Can you use your phones navigation with CarPlay/Android Auto with both stereo options? I'm sure I can search out some of my questions just using my newby title til it wears off.

Thanks for your input. Again going to hopefully test drive both engines just might not be in the Trailhawk trim I will eventually order.
Look around for one on the lot somewhere, you might get lucky and find one at a greatly reduced price from ordering. Elites are kind of rare, but they are out there. Like I said, I got mine for almost $10,000 under sticker, as it was the last 19 on the lot. I got it for basically the same price as the 2020 base model parked right next to it. Search nationwide, and for that kind of saving, you can get it shipped home, and still have saved money rather than doing a factory order. I'm not even sure you can still order a 20??? I think they are building the 21's by now. Good luck. Keep us posted.

Pretty sure, yes you can. I have Nav and rarely ever use it. Mostly Android Auto.

There's one in Phx (1.5hr drive) that has everything. MSRP is $44k and they have it listed for $38k. Dealer emailed making it sound like a great deal but we know how that goes.

As @Flybynightcru said, can you still order a 2020? They are taking orders on 2021 models now, and that usually means 2020 production is already stopped. Sad to say, there doesn't appear to be a 2021 Trailhawk Elite.

I have the 2019 2.0T in my TH/E. Never regretted it.

Yeah, 2020 production is done. Look for a 2020 on the lot, or order a 2021. If you order, your window sticker will have your name on it! Turn around time shouldn't be that bad really.

The GPS option unlocks a bunch of other features too, remote start via your phone, wifi hotspot (i believe), and themes on your radio.

I ordered my Elite with the GPS on a whim basically, and I am thankful I did.

According to the dealer I talked to a couple weeks ago Jeep is taking orders for 2021s. There seems to be no "Elite" model available for 2021.
Nope, no more "Elite". They are calling them Trailhawk Limited now. Boy, that's original...That took some real thinking, just call the top trim model the same thing the other 46 different manufacturers call theirs!!! I mean really, they could have called them something a little more associated with the brand?!?! Trailhawk Moab, would be cool. Something, hell they could call them the Mega, RAD, Super Doopper edition and it would at least be original...LOL !!!😎

I have a 19 TH-E with the v6.

Works great. I chose the v6 for 2 reasons.

The first and less important reason is that the v6 has a higher tow rating.

The second is that the 2.0T is supposed to use premium fuel. Despite getting better mileage, you'll be spending more money. The 2T should probably be fine running on regular gas, but then you won't get full power, and probably won't get the better mpg either. I just don't see much advantage to the 2T. I see about 26mpg on interstate trips with the v6. If be interested in hearing what others get with regular gas in the 2.0

I got Nav but never use it. I just use Android auto. But since I got every other option, I figured an extra $400 on a $40000 car is probably worth it for resale purposes ("fully loaded" advertising) alone. It also comes with like 2 or 3 years of the data connection which gives you traffic data and let's you start the car from your phone if that's your thing.

Upgraded sound is fantastic quality after the speakers break in. It gets loud but never clips (the lack of clipping makes some people think it doesn't get that loud). I haven't done side by side comparisons though, so I can't say just how much of an improvement it is over stock. There's a thread about the two over in the audio section if you want more opinions or a more in depth review.

Happy to answer any questions you might have!

I can't wait! Here's the punchline:

If you notice, no more Trailhawk Elite, and no more 2.0 Turbo option for the Trailhawk!!

The only reason I wish I had the nav is for the remote start via the cloud. I test drove both the 3.2 and turbo and the extra torque on the turbo makes driving more enjoyable for me.

I'm not too interested in tearing off my fake "elite" badge I added using the real badge letters from the limited, only to add a limited badge lol.

That linked pdf of the 2021 cherokee I don't think captures all the trim levels. For example the north edition was limited edition. It could be that many of the others (like trailhawk elite) are considered limited edition trims.
