Hello All

I have been wanting a Wrangler for a long time and was intrigued by the new Cherokee Trailhawk. I really like the looks of it, the interior, and what seems to be a very capable drivetrain. The mileage is also what makes me think twice about getting a CTH over the Wrangler as I drive about 150miles each day during the week to and from work. This weekend I test drove one and I was blown away. I mean the drive really impressed me so now I am leaning towards getting the Cherokee over the Wrangler.

Anyways...Hello from Indiana!

Welcome to the forum! If you're looking for something you can actually drive and enjoy every day, the Cherokee is not even in the same class as the Wrangler. It's so much better.

Don't get me wrong, Wranglers are great at what they do. I've owned one and I want another one someday soon. But the Cherokee is finally a Jeep that gives you that offroad ability without forcing you to sacrifice gas mileage, comfort, tech, and all the rest.

Welcome aboard. As a current Wrangler owner who is waiting for my TrailHawk, I can understand the need for comfort.

Welcome aboard!

Did you go drop a deposit yet on the cherokee?
Not yet. Last month I traded in my Sorrento for a new 2013 Town and Country for my wife. She has RA and we have two 2-1/2 year old twins so the doors on a mini van make it easier and less painful for her to get them I and out of the car. That being said I can't get one just yet, but I hope to be driving my Cherokee this time next year. The wait is going to be hard for sure but making it easier for my wife was priority.

+1 for doing the right thing and putting somebody else's needs before your own. I have an idea your Cherokee will be even more special when you get it.

Bravo to you for really taking your wife's needs before your own.
I am in the same situation as yourself and I eagerly await seeing a cherokee in person to see primarily my wife's accessibility to the vehicle .
If it presents problems then my choice of vehicle will change.

Cherokee will also make it easier to use a family vehicle. I know you have the T&C but the cherokee is just as modern and almost as accessible. The wrangler likely would of been relegated to solo duty.

Anyways welcome aboard!

Lots of people like the new cherokee.. For sure, Jeep cannot please everyone, but I feel even with targeting a wider crowd, they will still be able to bring on board lovers of the old model.... It is still a minority of the previous crowd that were doing heavy off-road with there cherokee, and Jeep is still have something for them in the line-up.

It's the vast minority, but every last one of them took to Facebook to complain haha
