I'm baffled at why you (OP) took the vehicle to the dealership for repair that was quoted at $1,000, and afterwards proceeded to pay for the evaluation $125, $130 bulbs, battery, research time involved, 2 new ballasts at what appears to be, at least, $550, time required to install all of this...... . It seems that having it done, with a factory repair warranty, would have been much faster and certainly cheaper - not including all your time to mess with this. With 2 blown bulbs, battery and codes - it seems the factory would be better to do the work and get it done quickly and properly.
