Headlight Options?

The headlights look to be standard projection headlights (good) but is there a xenon or HID upgrade? Personal pet peeve is when the DRL's do not match the headlights in color.

HIDs are an option on the Limited with the Lux package.

Otherwise they are halogen projectors. As for upgrades, it may take the aftermarket a bit to bring the mods to market.
Like Hudson said, you can only get them if you really deck out the Limited. So they are there, but it's expensive at that point to first choose limited and then add the package. I don't think you can get them without it. But if money doesn't matter, they'd probably be awesome to have.
why not just upgrade the HID kit yourself for less? HID kits are cheaper nowadays.

So true, for $70 you can get a good kit, up to $150 for a really good quality name brand kit.
Yeah, I am going to put HIDs in mine. I like to put them in cars I buy. Any kit should work it just has to fit the bulb size. My last car had 8k which had a slight blue. 6k is like a bright white, not sure which one i want to want to mess it up against the drl. My sport doesn't come with fog lights. Anyone know if you can aftermarket Add those?
HIDs for fog lights too?
Any fog lights. Sport doesn't come with them. I know I should of ordered the latitude for the extra money. My wife was being cheap in the dealership.
from experience I know that matching HIDs to LED DRLs can be tough
its possible. just takes some trial and error.

I find that going for around 5000k HIDs and matching them with the whitest LEDs (not blue) you can find makes it easier.

You could go for 6K HIDs and you could probably find some LED DRLs that are slightly blueish.. But I don't suggest 6K HIDs. Too blue for my tastes

5K is like perfectly white. Even 4300k has a slight yellow tinge to it.

FYI - Chrysler vehicles don't play well with aftermarket HID kits. You need to know what you are doing!

I have never tried with aftermarket ktis but what is the problem with them for chrysler vehicles?

Because CANBUS.

HIDs use power differently than conventional halogen bulbs. On start up they use lots of power briefly, but under normal operation they use less than a halogen bulb. As such, the computer doesn't know what is happening, so it thinks the bulb is burnt out, and tries to restart it. So typically if you just plug an HID kit in without any Chrysler-specific harness/add-ons the HIDs will flash and then turn off, even though the headlight switch is in the "ON" position.

I waited several years to have a vendor that sells products for my Caliber so that my HIDs would work without problems, and I'm glad I did.

Basically just search for Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram + HIDs in Google and I'm sure you will find all kinds of forum threads about problems.
Yea the CANBUS causes problems with regular ol HID kits. But there are CANBUS specific HID kits.

Morimoto HID kits FTW.

For sure. But even those aren't guaranteed. The vendor that works with TRS (The Retrofit Source) for the Caliber has three (3) different harnesses that are for the Caliber. Each Caliber reacts differently apparently. The "default" harness didn't work on my car, but their back-up harness did.

My stuff is all Morimoto and I've been pleased thus far

I'm just trying to give information, so don't shoot the messenger :)
