Anyone know how to drop the glovebox? I broke the damper trying to figure it out so I thought I'd stop before I did more damage. Removed the 3 visible screws and started pulling. I noticed about clips holding the front in, is there a hidden screw? Or... is it even possible? Looking to mount my kenwood amp.

IIRC, there was a thread about the damper issue a long time ago. I can't remember exactly what was going on but I think it was a simple fix of reattaching the damper to the hinge, much simpler than dropping the whole unit...Ill see if I can find it.

Edit to add: Sorry, it was a thread about the light switch attached to the glove box...not really pertinent

When messing with the glove box watch out for the air bag.
It might be wise to cut the battery power and wear eye protection.

If you still need it.
I managed to get to step 6 without this, however for the life of me i just couldn't find the screws underneath. The manual shows the 3 visible screws but of course it leaves out the screws I can't find lol.

I've managed to mount the amp in another location however one of these days I'm going to have to order a new damper and tackle the glovebox again to fix it lol.

I know this is a somewhat old thread, but I actually took my glovebox out the other day.

There are the three screws in the front, but there are three screws on the bottom as well. These lower screws secure a rather group of wire harnesses to the bottom of the glove box. Once you remove the air duct, you'll be able to get to two of them. The third is hard to find; it is in the back, near the center.

Thanks for the tips; this is the best info on this page. The bottom screws are ridiculously hard to get to. I needed to get my head up side down in the foot bay with a flashlight to find them. You need to pull off the short air duct that is held in place with a trim plug. After removing the three bottom screws the glove box comes out effortlessly.
