I have a 2015 Cherokee and am trying to improve the exhaust sound. I have been to two muffler shops and both said nothing can be done. I’m wanting to install a pair of glass packs or Flowmasters, anything really to improve the sound. If anyone has ideas, I would be very grateful! Thank you for the help!
Have not heard "glass packs" since I had them on my 1964 Impala 327 2dr.. Nor sure they would pass todays noise limits though.
The other 2 listed in the thread I have heard of and sure they pass the legal muster for sound output of a vehicle.
Most likely the issue with muffler installers. They do not want the legal liability of installing a non compliant muffler system on a vehicle.
You know the old blame game. So and so installed the mufflers for me. I would assume they put a street legal system on.
But there is no comparison to a true duel exhaust system with 2 glass pack mufflers rumbling especially on start up and petal to the medal.
Your shop is crap, any competent muffler shop can swap out the rear muffler.
Just be aware that any muffler you do change to will likely drone a lot. Especially if you just replace with a glasspack. I ran this on my cherokee Flowmaster Super 10 + Magnaflow 10416 Resonator
Or from the outside @ 7000rpm

For a short time I ran with no resonator and it sounded like a 2 stroke chainsaw which I don't recommend.
