Hmmmmmmm. Those *pops* don't sound like ball joints. I've also had one front lower control arm (LCA) replaced because of a worn bushing, but I don't specifically recall the noises or signs that a worn LCA bushing produced, sorry...I have extended warranty up to 100,000mi with a $100 deductible, and suspension components are supposed to be covered, but at 71,000mi, I'm definitely beyond the basic bumper-to-bumper warranty.
I'd like to verify this before I take it in again and incur a $100 charge for "tightening suspension components" again...
Lately, I've started hearing occasional "pops" from the suspension when manuvering in parking lots, specifically when the steering wheel is racked all the way to one side, and I decelerate to a complete stop rapidly.
Right as the car comes to a stop, there is a "pop" from the front driver's side.
I'm also getting uneven (wavy) tire wear in the front despite repeated alignments.
Being on this forum for years, I can say there have been many posters with clunks and pops up front and there have been multiple causes diagnosed, from ball joints to LCAs to struts, strut mounts and steering components, and I'm forgetting a few more I'm sure..
