To find the build date of a Jeep Cherokee, especially when you can't physically inspect the vehicle: * **Contact Jeep Customer Care via online chat:** Provide the VIN to a representative who can look up the build date. This is the most direct method when you have the VIN but not physical access to the vehicle. * **Ask the dealer:** Request the dealer to run the VIN through their Dealerconnect system and provide you with the printout. * **Check the driver's side door sticker:** The build date (Year, Month, Day, Hour) is printed on a plate located on the driver's side door. If the sticker is missing, check the plate at the base of the windshield on the driver's side.

The only real way to find the build date is the sticker on the driver's door.
