Compare what is covered by max care vs the others....as for what I use, I have lifetime max-care from mopar for both Jeeps, my 2018 and 2019.

 

Agreed. Many 3rd party warranties don't have the same coverages as the Maximum Care warranty from Mopar. Check the items that are covered and compare apples to apples.

I also have the Lifetime Maximum Care on my 2018 KL and my wife's 2008 Commander.

 

I called and asked about the lifetime. But they were unable to offer it for my jeep. It was either the 7yr 100k or 125k.

 

Mopar stopped selling the lifetime warranties at the end of 2018, if I recall correctly.

 

I also have 2 Lifetime Maxcare Warranties. One on my Dodge, 1 on my Jeep. True lifetime warranties are no longer available but well worth the price. I got mine through Clay Robbins vis the internet. Exact same warranty as my dealer offered just about $800 cheaper. Check him out.

I got mine through Clay Robbins about a month ago. I read about him on this site and everything I read was true. He is fast and easy. Had my Cherokee serviced a few weeks ago at my local dealership in Kentucky and the warranty info popped up in the the dealer system. It's legit and good to go. I also got a quote from Chrysler/Jeep and it was almost double what Clay offered. The national rep at Chrysler/Jeep outright lied to me saying the warranty Clay sells is not a true MaxCare warranty and I would need to have claims processed through Clay's dealership.

 

 

The only reason I didn't get the extended warranty was because I lifted my jeep and also added a few non-standard options and I don't trust that they would not honor the warranty or find a way around it, which would then just be a waste of money on my part or lots of headaches fighting for my warranty claims.

 

2 inch spacer lift does not void any warranty if installed correctly, and does not exceed 2 inches according to my dealer. MFC, HS etc. Now, when you start changing springs, and or struts, that's where they can get sketchy. I guess I'm just lucky, I have a great, honest and reputable dealer. Apparently that's kind of rare according to some people's experiences on here. They even offered installation, and then even suggested another reputable independent offroad shop in town that would install the lift for basically half the cost. That's Customer Service!!! Again, zero chance of voided warranties.

 

Try buying it on-line from Mopar. I think you will get a better price than from the dealer. I bought mine there and have a $100 deductible and paid $1357 for max coverage in 2015. Mopar's warranty is much better than other non-factory warranties because you go to the dealer with no questions asked.. That being said, I am so happy I bought it. So far I have put in a new transmission and shifter assembly that has more than paid for my costs. These cars are not reliable. I only have 36000 miles on mine and have had many problems including having to put in 3 batteries not counting the original equipment battery it came with. All of these were new Mopar batteries installed by the dealer.

 

I tried looking online but here are a few sites that claim to be the orignal mopar warranty program so i dont know which one to trust.

 

I have $100 deductible Max Care, and my dealer offers free lifetime Powertrain Warranty on all their new vehicles. Non transferable of course, which is cool with me, because I'll probably drive it till the wheels fall off.

 

Imagine that? Those ba$tards!!! I guess I'm lucky...Lift going on next week, and that's the first time a wrench will have ever been turned on mine, except for the couple of free oil changes. I guess that required a wrench to get the drain plug off. LOL

 

You might need to drive it right up the stairs, and park the Trailhawk in the lobby of FCA headquarters and demand action, even if you did break it!!!

 

I used Mopar Service Contract and got a genuine Mopar Service Contract like the dealers sell for $780 at 8 years 60K miles, 200 deductible. For a 2019 Cherokee Limited Plus.

 

The factory warranty is “free“, why would you pay again for that first 3 years? A “7-year warranty” really only gives value for the 4 years after the factory warranty expires. Wait until the factory warranty is about up, then buy an extended warranty. There are plenty of after market warranties available, shop around. You can save substantial cash, especially considering that you aren’t paying twice for the first 3 years.

My factory warranty is already over. I surpassed 36k last weekend.

 

Read a few reviews on the assurance and car sheild, you might be surprised. I had my engine replaced along with a new radiator just after the factory warranty expired. 5 years 5 months, 76K. I purchased the Mopar extended warranty, it was covered with a $100 deductible. Now if I could just get a new transmission with 2nd gear. All would be great. Take 18Jeepers advice and call Clay

 

I ordered my extended factory warranty from Factoryplans.com instead of the dealer where I purchased my Trailhawk. I ended saving money compared to what I was quoted from my local dealer.

 

I did a bunch of research and found a dealership in plainwell Michigan - harold zigler plainwell had the lowest price in the country! Funny that I originally found this into on this site 2 years ago ! Lol. good luck

 

For those with the Mopar extended warranty- excluding the lifetime product-what is the small print, if any? We would like to get all the details but am unable to get a copy of the paperwork to study.

We would like to know what is covered, not covered, are multiple repairs for the same component covered or is it a one time deal, can you really take your vehicle to any dealer or are there restrictions for any repairs, little things like this.

 

Lifetime Maxcare is no longer available. Last year was 2019. It's now 7yr/100,000 miles, and now costs even more than it did for lifetime...😎
