I just got a 2019 Cherokee Limited and have noticed in the morning that the inside of both the front and rear windshields are wet on warmer days (frosted on cold days). It seems beyond just the normal "fog" you'd expect to clear up quickly with a quick defrost. I noticed that the inspection sticker on the inside corner is warped as well, indicating that it's getting wet inside. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have the same issue, up here in Winnipeg. I come out in the morning and not only do I have ice built up on outside of windshield, there is frost on the inside of the windshield. Most times the inside frost is not completely obscuring my view and I can get away with just scraping the outside of the windshield. But it's still weird and a pain in the butt.

How wet is the carpeting from either rain or snow? If they are wet in a closed environment, there is going to be condensation on the windows. Try cracking a window (if inside a garage) and see what happens overnight. Other than that, can't think of anything off the top of my head. Keep us posted...

I think you are onto it, if the carpet/floor mats are wet from snow/slush/rain then the interior can get very damp. In western WA we get a lot of rain and it inevitable will get drug into the car on your shoes. My solution in the past has been to put one of the DampRid hanging closet moisture removers and they seem to do the trick really well. as unless the windows are left down to let the moisture out the car is an enclosed environment so more moisture is going to build up unless something is done to remove it. In addition to the damprid you could put the AC on and recirculate having the AC on will help to draw some of the moisture out of the air too.

Mine does this also. Moisture is not coming from carpet. It somehow comes from outside. Did you find a solution?

what I do
clean windows, inside, regularly
don't re-circulate air in the cabin, except when necessary
if I bring moist items into the car like snowy or sweaty stuff from the gym, I crack the windows & put the front & rear defrosters on, as needed

always surprised to see ppl with fogged front & rear windows driving down the highway

Check for water in the cabin air filter housing.
Somewhere on this Forum there is a Post discussing this. Cherokees have water leaks from lots of different locations, they are all discussed on this Forum.
Mostly the problem is defective weld seam sealant, as in the sealant is missing.
Check for water under the rear trunk floor. Check sunroof drains.
Check with your Jeep Service Advisor, there may be a Recall or TSB for your vehicle, they will only tell you if you ask.
PM JeepCares on this Forum, maybe they information since Post #5 above. Kate beat me to it, she is really on top of this.
If your Jeep was ever wrecked all bets are off.
The most cost effective way to check for water leaks is to have a body shop check it out.
