This is a rhetorical question and the answer is a resounding YES. This is the first vehicle I’ve owned with a ton of advanced tech and it all works to perfection and though the driving experience is altered, accommodation to whatever you have enabled comes quickly.

Yesterday's drive from Inland SoCal to Manhattan beach (75 miles) was accomplished with a remarkably uncrowded freeway system so I was able (only 1 week owner) to test out the system. It held speed, slowed down, sped up, even panicked stopped 2 times to perfection (I had my foot ready for the brake just in case). With lane departure activated I tested approaching each side of the lane and the intrusion of the assist was not bad and I was able to adapt really well. This could be spoiling! The 6 cyl beast was solid on the pavement and was remarkably quiet at a constant 72mph.

Truly I didn’t expect such a trail-worthy vehicle to drive so well on the open highway. To say I am pleased with my purchase after the first week is an extreme understatement. If any of you is leery about the tech package I can say it is wonderful……and if you don’t like something just go to the instrument panel and turn it off.

BTW I do not work for or am paid by Jeep! :)

Happy Black Friday

I have been looking at the tech package when I order my limited in the new year. So what is it like when the vehicle does a panic stop with no intervention from you. I would think a little scary at first.

Thanks for the informative update - good to hear. I'm particularly interested in"lane departure" warning when towing my boat on expressways as I get tired of vehicles riding my blind spot - very nerve wracking. I have an extended side mirror but sometimes even this doesn't help.

It is only of concern if you weren't looking. During the trip with 3 occupants I told myself I would not apply the brakes when freeway traffic stopped in front (my foot was poised and ready) unless the ACC system did not work. After the car applied a strong brake I immediately took over.
