Coolant leak

We have a 2015 v6 limited with 92k and noticed a coolant smell then finally a leak. Pressure tested it and saw it's was coming from the upper hose where it connects to the radiator. Ordered the hose n bought some new coolant and had the shop install. Got home last night and noticed a small drip under the car again. Is there some other place the coolant could be leaking from?

I currently am suffering from a coolant leak, and when I originally took the front passenger wheel off to get a better look, it appeared it was coming from the water pump. I scheduled an appt with an independent shop, and asked to have them not only do some routine maintenance (serpentine belt, tensioner, idler pulley), but also to investigated the leak I had.

Turns out, I have two coolant leaks (and as a result, they have to order some more parts, and then everything will be taken care of, so nothing was done which was fine). One is the water pump, but the other is the crossover pipe above the water pump where the thermostat is. It is possible you have a leak either at the water pump, or the crossover pipe for the thermostat. Turns out I have leaks on both, but both coolant hoses themselves that go to the water pump were bone dry, so I knew it wasn't them.

If you're still unsure, I would contact an independent shop you trust, and have them take a look at it to be sure.

Ours is definitely on the driver side. It's dropping down right below the drain valve for the radiator. I did a pressure test and it was blowing right out of the upper radiator hose where it connects to the radiator, literally was able to pressurise it and felt it with my hand. I'm baffled now unless it's the radiator that's damaged. I am going to take it back to the shop we had do the hose. Guy is very good and I'm guessing I should have let him do the diagnosis since he might have been able to see something I wasn't able to. I'll be scheduling an appointment with him this week

Yeah, you got me there. It is possible it's a leaky radiator, but your mechanic friend should able to sort it all out. Let us know how it goes when you get it all squared away.

As a word of caution at 92,000 miles you are approaching the coolant change point (10/100) on the maintenance schedule.
Also need to consider changing out all the coolant hoses as a measure of caution. Having a leaky upper hose does not bode well for the lower hose and others.
I would agree that if you keep an eye on aging hoses you could do them piece meal as needed. But replacing a lower hose can get expensive when replacing all that coolant. Much easier to do with a total coolant change and hoses to be totally safe.
Then its done for another 10/100.
I learned the hard way years ago.
Pretty much. As I posted in the WHYDTY Cherokee Today thread, because I had multiple coolant leaks, I now have a new water pump, thermostat, and housing, which are certainly not parts you have to replace, but if you're getting up in miles, water pump, and thermostat in particular could be in need of replacement at some point. Definitely a "while you're there" type of part.
