Cloth/Leather Interior

I was just in a Grand Cherokee SRT and I had a chance to see the half cloth half leather interior in action, and i have to say I am impressed. Especially because its not actually cloth, but suede...

I wonder if TH will have a similar option? I do like the two tone leather buckets seen here:

but I'd like to get them like the SRT... What do you guys think?

Oh BTW I was beyond pleased with the fit and finish on GC, I'm expecting the same from Cherokee... TBH I only went to check out GC to get a feel for modern Jeep products...

From the picture that you posted of the GC interior I still think that the cloth seats don't look all that great. Are you sure that they are suede? At least that would make the feel nicer, but they still don't look the best.

I don't really like the two tone brown/blue on the Cherokee either though. I think that brown leather seats are the way to go.
I actually like the feel of suede better than leather especially during the winter and summer you either get burned or freeze your butt off. Suede is better to me for that reason. I have no problems with the looks.

positive its suede, not only did my buddy say it was suede but i stroked my hand on it and it was soft enough and traced the movement of my hand just like Suede does. I feel its unlikely the TH will get suede. If it does we know there won't be an SRT.....

you'd be surprised how real fake leather or fake suede can feel, some car makers to do this to cut costs while still offering something close to the real thing.

felt just as real as the suede on the boots I was wearing... on a $70K truck I don't expect corners to be cut that bad. Besides they have to distinguish between leather and leatherette...
The SRT Grand Cherokee is a different beast. But yes, it's leather & suede. They use suede because it stops you from sliding around like straight leather seats. The lower Grand Cherokees have cloth seats.

The Cherokee will not have suede.
its not suede as in reversed leather.
Its alcantara.

Alcantara? Haven't heard of that before. So if there is no suede coming on the Cherokee is it just leather cloth or leather/cloth combo? I still think that anything is fine except the brown and blue two tone interior. I think that is a mistake. Don't know anyone who would want that.

The so called alcantara material is soft and comfortable and warm during the colder months. But the only downside is maintaining it even if its black you have to brush or comb it every so often after a while.
