The Cherokee headlights are kind of complicated as its not an all in one unit.

So its hard to say what they will do with it.

 

If LEDs ended up on the Grand Cherokee, I would expect them to end up on the SRT Cherokee as well. The Cherokee is the latest and greatest thing by jeep. i doubt that they will cheap out on anything in the top tier models.

 

From a base to an SRT the headlights usually don;t go through a change though.

 

While I agree, the Grand Cherokee does use different headlights for the base, Overland, and SRT models.

 

The GC has normal headlights though. The Cherokee has some pretty unique setups for how the headlight (s) work.

 

The only "special" think the SRT Grand Cherokee get is an additional LED running lamp module in the front bumper.

 

Do you think they might just have black or smoked running light housing instead for the SRT?

 

What ever happens, if i get the SRT Cherokee, i think i will be doing my own thing to it. Might as well tailor it to my own liking.

 

Yea the Cherokee's headlights are different from the Grand Cherokee's. They could use the LEDs in an SRT version of the Cherokee, but whatever way they use them likely won't be the same as how they used them on the SRT Grand Cherokee.

 

I would really like to see the LED running lamp on the cherokee but it will probably just go toward the SRT model

 

All Cherokees have the LED DRLs

 

At least they didn't cheap out and didn't include LED's on lower end models, they could have easily done that and threw in halogen bulbs. Maybe this is because of the Fiat connection?

 

With the Escape, it's only on the top of the line model you get the front LEDs.
