Cherokee Recall

Jeep is recalling 4,458 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee models. The recall affects everything but SRT models, Cherokees in question were built between January 14 and March 20, 2013. This recall focuses on models equipped with LED running lights.

During the switch from bright daytime running lamps to low-intensity parking lights, a spike in electrical current can cause one of the Cherokees computers to flip to safe mode, turning off the LEDs. This violates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.

Nothing seriously risky here, just a heads up...

The only model that didn't get recalled, the SRT, is the one that made the Worst of the 2013 Detroit Auto Show List (see other thread.) This is not looking very nice for jeep.
