As a new Trailhawk owner (still awaiting factory order delivery) I thought I'd just add myself to the very short list of FL owners here. I'm in the Tampa area (Valrico/Brandon to be exact). For some reason I do not see hardly any Cherokees in my area. I know the Cherokee is the top selling model for Jeep, but you would never know it by looking at the streets here. I don't think I have seen more than 10 on the road since the new model was introduced in 2014. From my recent visits to dealer lots viewing inventory, I have noticed they still have 2016 Cherokees with the old cheaper pricing. These have been on the lots for months and still not selling. I do see a lot of Wranglers and every other Jeep model for that matter, but the new Cherokee seems to be elusive. I anticipate that when I finally get mine I will be getting a lot of "WOW! What is that? I've never seen one of those before!"

I'm in Palm Bay Fl, and have had my TH since July,14 I've seen a few KL's but not many TH's. Loving mine and by the way I get about 22mpg city and 25 or 26 Hwy. when I run mid-grade in it but I only run top tier gas. I bought it because the wife an I are retired and we use it to Geocache in the forest some times.

Also fellow retiree here and looking forward to the delivery of my new TH from the factory in a few weeks. I plan on initially following the owner manual recommendation of 87 octane regular in my V6 and see how that works out. Quick question, I notice in your avatar a door protection molding. Where did you get that? I wish Jeep offered that type of door protection option from the factory painted in the color of the Jeep. Oh well, gotta improvise I guess.

There was a link posted on here by Wildturkey, https://sportwing.com/CF-CHER14-Jeep...y-Side-Molding
However the link is no longer valid. But all you had to do was prep the surface with the provided chemical pads and measure, cut and apply it. It was a bit expensive too and shortly after I installed it some one was kind enough to hit my door above the molding on the crease of the right rear door and caused $700.00 worth of damage while I was parked at Aldi'S. So though it looks good to me it was not very effective sorry to say.

Sorry to hear about that ding. It would be great if someone made a v-shaped contoured molding to fit right over that crease. That crease is ground zero for dings as it protrudes the farthest from the door sheet metal. I'll be the guy who parks his vehicle the farthest from anywhere I go way out in an open parking space. I'll really be paranoid when I have to shop at Walmart! That place is a door ding war zone!

Anyone here in Tampa or Orlando area ? It'd be nice to get together for a meet and greet or some lite off-road driving as my trailhawk is stock.

Tampa Bay Area KL owner also. Any light trails we can adult owners can drive around?

@rski

I'm looking at a trip (possibly an afternoon ride somewhere in the Talahassee area on October 16. Anyone interested, or know of a good area for a good off-road/overland trip?
