The 2014-2018 Jeep Cherokee (KL) is generally considered to have a quiet cabin. Some owners have used phone apps to measure decibel levels around 67db at 72mph. Factors impacting noise levels include tire type (all-season tires tend to be quieter than all-terrain), aftermarket accessories like roof baskets, and even small items rattling inside the cabin. When using phone apps to measure sound, be aware that not all apps are equal, and iOS apps may be more accurate than Android apps. The "Sound Meter" app is mentioned, as is the NIOSH app.
