Old vs New

I guess this will come up. I think a stock TH will out perform a stock older model.
If you take a 4x4 Latitude and dress it up you save several grand over a TH. The TH looks better IMHO but if you are a mall crawler or a flat terrain dweller you can get a very capable four wheel system for less.

Higher Bob, Higher!

I need to stop running the configurator.

Somehow I have managed to get the price higher and not lower.

A loaded Trailhawk in my zip is projected at $41,195.

Maybe a 2013 GC Trailhawk but there are no 2014 GC Trailhawks currently. If I were to go to GC they have me by the balls because I would go Diesel which is a 4500 up-sell plus a mandatory package with the diesels including collision avoidance for another 1600 or so.

Gc th

yeah a diesel gets in the mid 50s quick.

Yes 2013 GC THs. There are still quite a few out there.

Funny thing is that the TH concept is not working on the GC (my perception but there have been a dozen or so on lots in Florida for a long time).

It will probably work with the Cherokee because of the more aggressive stance and it is coming as an immediately available model with the launch.

Wow, so OTD on this beast will have you around $45k.

I think the next step is to find out what OTD prices we can get, and if dealers are willing to negotiate on the MSRP.

Yes, that will be CRITICAL as the 2014 GC Limited, LOADED with a diesel engine can be had tor just over $45K + tax, title and reg with some of the group buys going on. That's $5K off MSRP. Subtract the diesel option and the prices are pretty close. I'm sure Jeep doesn't mind which way I go though. :) Will be curious to see how steep the discounts are or aren't when my Feb order time rolls around.

with an SUV as popular as the Cherokee I can see a number of group buys going on, on this forum.

might be time to get a poll going on what model people want and lists to test the waters for group buys. I think once a dealer see's how many people are interested they will be more inclined to make it happen

Probably a good idea and it has been done on other forums for the GC. I won't be in the market for a year or so personally so I will let all you early adopters figure it out while I wait jealously nearby.

If you already have the 8.4a, the NAV package can be added by the dealer at a later time. You just won't have the 9 speakers.

you might regret not getting navigation, it's a must have, unlike the speaker kit.
i think you should just fork out the extra for navigation, you'll thank me for suggesting this.
HudsonHawk answered this already.

This is my dream Cherokee, too bad my budget would be max 35k (cash, no trade in)
Maybe without the nav and the speakers kit...
I feel you. I have a trade I will turn in that will hopefully be worth something at purchase time. Colorado calculates sales taxes after the trade so it will knock the taxes down a little bit. $41K gets you a loaded Trailhawk if you want to pinch some more pennies for a while. ;)

If i could get it for 35k I'd be more than happy to have it, but since I already have a Garmin with Lifetime Map update, the nav+speakers pack is the only option I would remove.
I have a Garmin Oregon 400t with lifetime Maps as well. I skipped the NAV as I trust the garmin more than the built-in. Plus it gives me details (topographic maps and trails) that the built in system does not have. I may go back and have the dealer put in the NAV after a few months.

I think the built-in is based off of and uses a significant amount of Garmin technology. :D

I'll need a new car in october, so can't wait and my only off-road might be some shore so I wont need the Trailhawk (even if I like the look of the TH more)
