Bet you anything that Jeep is saving those black wheels in the promo shots for the special edition.
I could see that being the case. It is cool to see the Grand Cherokee special editions because it gives a pretty good idea of what a special edition Cherokee could look like. I wonder how long it will take before Jeep releases a special edition Cherokee. Mercedes and Ford are releasing special editions with the regular models release, but I guess Jeep isn't doing that or we would have heard by now. Jeep does like special edition models though so it must just be a matter of time.

I bet the 75th Anniversary Edition will be an amazing vehicle. When would that be coming out? I assume it would come out the same year as the actual 75th anniversary of the Jeep Cherokee. What usually gets added to these special edition vehicles? I am guessing some performance upgrades, maybe a few more colors to choose from, a decal or two. Any other ideas?

For 2011 they had a special olive leather or black leather seat with a multicolor ribbon sewn in the upper part of the seat. This ribbon was reminiscent of ribbons worn on military uniforms. The came in silver, black and a limited edition color bronze. A few other badges and doo-dads but otherwise they were pretty much the "limiteds"... GC Limited, Wrangler Sahara, Compass, Patriot, Liberty.

as unique and significant as it may be its not something I would line up at my dealership for. interesting to see what they do to the 75th Cherokee

Here's the new edition, same as old the editon...

The 77th anniversary edition will be coming out in 2014. I cant wait to see the new stickers on it. It's nice to know that Jeep only changes the stickers with each new model year & special edition because you already know what to expect so you don't have to live with anticipation- unless you're a kid under 12 that still thinks stickers are cool. The 80th anniversary edition will be like the 75th but with different stickers. That dragon edition is the ugliest Jeep I've ever seen. No wonder they're sending it to China. Instead of 'Made In China' it should say 'Drive in China...only!' Imagine seeing your father driving a dragon edition to work. How embarrassing. The best looking Wranglers are the ones that look like they belong on a beach.

Did you actually look at a 70th Anniversary Jeep anything? The10th Anniversary Rubicon actually paved the way for the new Rubicon X... steel bumpers and a vented hood for example. That my friend is more than stickers.

my favorite is the 2012 jk arctic edition. i was gonna pull the trigger then it was sold a couple days before i could go to the dealer. i never seen one ever since. special order wait was unbearable so i opted for a 2012 base jk 4dr. used some leftover cash for some much needed upgrades.
