I've been waiting with baited breath for a full report on the Black Bear Pass run. I did check the Facebook https://www.facebook.com/events/1418847571742015/ and saw the photos but nothing on this site. How did the Trailhawks do on "The Steps" and on the switchbacks? I have an acquaintance (a typical Rubicon snob) who says that 'Hawks shouldn't go on the run, they're not good enough. I'd really like to stick a good report in his face. So will one or more of you recent champs give us a play by play? Please? With photos/videos of course.

Great job guys! That should be enough THs down Black Bear this season to silence the naysayers.

From my trip in August, making it to the steps is rather straight forward. You can take harder than necessary lines for the heck of it. Makes for an exciting times. Once beyond the sign of no return, take it slow. The use of 4 low and rear lockers is the safest bet. The first switch backs are rocky and are very slippy when wet. You will slide, do so carefully and take it easy. The first tight switch back requires you take a wide approach and pull your front wheels to the edge, back to take a angle that will let you pass. This may take a few attempts. After the right switch back, the remaining can be taken without a ground guide. Take a moment for photos near the old power house on the cliff. The area is gorgeous, the view is one that the average joe will never experience.

Finally received a "gift" in the mail from Jeep. Had to put it on. Should be five more coming!
I know this post is a little old but how long did it take to get your BOH from jeep. I did engineer Pass a few months ago and never received the badge for it. I did all the online crap with the app and spoke to folks at Jeep about it.

Jeep told me that the wait is 8 weeks. I am near that mark now. I have been waiting since Nov 12 for a couple in the Moab area. I have not seen them yet, and I am sitting on a little over 7 weeks.

@JeeperSam - I am still waiting on my 5th badge (completed in August 2015), my other 4 came within 4-8 weeks after completing them.

No, itnis easier to modify the front suspension. Our main issue is the camber onmthe front end is not adjustable. To lift more than the 1 to 1 1.5in mark needs the camber adjustment. Simple, just add some camber adjustment? Except this requires new front lower arms and to replace them requires the sub chassis to be separated from the body so that the bolt on the lower arm can be removed.... tjen if your are 2in plis you need new half shafts due to the increased angles. parts cost plus labour to install just not worth it.
