Newbie here looking to have some fun in Moab. Other than here, where's the best place to get info on Jeeping in Moab, and can anybody recommend some novice trails when I get there? Also, any good motels/hotels?

Stop at the visitor center when you get into town and buy the two trail maps (it was something North and South). The trails on the map are rated by difficulty and other factors and the maps are of good quality and not terribly expensive. Plus, sometimes the folks manning the place have good advise.

I have never done serious crawling there, but took many of the back road tours and had a blast in a rented jeep one year and in our UTV the second year. Love the place other than the crowds. Next time I go I may try Green River as it is a bit less touristy and a close drive to all the trails and parks.
